Dr. Jamie Abato

Dr. Abato was born and raised in Mt. Olive, New Jersey. She studied at the University of Delaware for her undergrad (go Blue Hens!) She went to Midwestern University for veterinary school. Her interests include internal medicine and emergency medicine. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys reading, hiking, and hanging out with her yellow Lab, Leia!

Dr. Laura Brooks

Dr. Brooks is a graduate of St. George's School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Brooks has a special interest in ultrasound and does in-house ultrasound at the hospital. She also has an obsession for tortoiseshell cats and kittens! Originally from South Jersey, Dr. Bihlear moved up here in 2022 and now resides in Wantage with her husband and their two kitties, Cannoli and Rosie. When not working, Dr. Brooks enjoys spending time at the beach and with her family.

Dr. Sara Vanderbogart

Dr. Vanderbogart is a New Jersey native, originally from Boonton Township. She has always had a deep love for animals and knew from a young age that she wanted to be a "doggy doctor" when she grew up! Dr. Vanderbogart earned her BS in biology from Lebanon Valley College where she was also a four year starter for the women's lacrosse team. She then went on to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine located on the beautiful island of St. Kitts for her DVM. Her interests include orthopedics, surgery, internal medicine as well as alternative medicine. She currently resides in Boonton with her husband. In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her dogs, trying new foods, reading and spending time with her family.

Tara Porter

Tara joined Andover Animal Hospital in November 2019 with strong passion to deliver the highest quality client experience and compassionate patient care for all pets. Tara has been in the field for 24 years and has experience supporting teams in general practice, as well as emergency and specialty hospital settings. Tara resides in Andover with her husband, son, and their menagerie of pets, including a ferocious Chihuahua, a crazy dog named Liberty, the nicest Chihuahua on earth named Luna, a cat named Dexter, and a rose-breasted cockatoo named Jem. In her spare time, Tara enjoys connecting with the outdoors, Reiki, kayaking, and going on adventures with her family.
