Dr Andrew Cluer

Dr Andrew Cluer MBBS MA(Cantab) MSc(Echo) FANZCA is an experienced Consultant Anaesthetist working in public and private practice in Sydney. He completed his fellowship in neuro-anaesthesia at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. As a Consultant he has experience working in major teaching hospitals both in London and Sydney. His subspecialty interests, in addition to the above, include obstetric anaesthesia, anaesthesia for bariatric surgery and anaesthesia for plastic and reconstructive surgery. His current clinical appointments in Sydney include Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Chris O'Brien Lifehouse, St George Private Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital and Westmead Private Hospital. He also has advanced skills in transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in this discipline. His TTE qualifications include an MSc Medical Ultrasound (Echo) from Imperial College, London and he is one of very few anaesthetists worldwide with full diagnostic accreditation in TTE from both the British Society of Echocardiography and European Society of Cardiology. He was recently nominated for the prestigious 2017 Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), Gilbert Brown Prize and is a contributing author to the MSc in Peri-operative Medicine by University College London.

Dr Ashlyn Pinto

Dr Pinto is a Specialist Anaesthetist with an MBBS degree from Sydney University and over 20 years experience in Anaesthetics. Dr Pinto has been working closely with Dr Barnouti and Dr Kohout for 6 years. His special interest is anaesthesia for plastic and cosmetic surgery, and he can provide both general anaesthesia or sedation (twilight) depending on the case using the latest techniques. In addition, he provides post-op pain relief so patients are comfortable on discharge. Dr Pinto is a fellow of the Australia New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA)

Dr Laith Barnouti


Dr Mark Kohout

Dr Mark Kohout is a highly trained Plastic Surgeon with 15 years of experience in cosmetic surgery. He is recognisable in the media, on series such as channel Seven's "Ultimate Transformation" and "The Body Specialist", as well as contributions to online magazines such as Rescu.com.au, younger you.com.au, ninemsn.com.au and femail.com.au. He also contributes regularly to The Cosmetic Surgery magazine. Graduating from medicine in 1985, Dr Kohout trained in medicine and surgery in Australia and Great Britain. Whilst training in plastic surgery in Great Britain, Dr Kohout earned two prestigious fellowships. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1990 and then a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1990. Dr Kohout spent a year conducting microsurgical research, earning him a Master of Surgery Degree from Melbourne University. Dr Kohout then completed another 4 years training in Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery in Australia, becoming the Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 1996. He spent a further year of training in Plastic Surgery at the prestigious Harvard Medical School, Boston in the United States. Dr Kohout is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Dr Kohout has lectured in Cosmetic and Plastic surgery at national and international conferences and has published scientific papers in his field. He has worked with some of the most respected surgeons in the world and has brought these skills to Australia. He practices privately in Broadway, Sydney and in Central West NSW ( Orange ).

Dr Micah Friend

Dr Micah Friend read Medicine at the University of Sydney, graduating with an Honours degree in cancer research. He worked for the Child flight rescue helicopter service, and as the Location Doctor for the Survivor television program, before completing his training as a Specialist Anaesthetist at Sydney's RPA Hospital. Micah trained with the Liver Transplant team at the Cambridge University hospital, before returning to Sydney and taking up an appointment at Royal North Shore Hospital. He is a fellow of the Australia New Zealand College of Anaesthetists; and a Clinical Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Sydney. Micah has a strong interest in Anaesthesia for Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery.

Dr Richard Emmett

Dr Emmett gained his Australian anaesthetics qualification in 2003. He has extensive local and overseas experience, initially in the UK and more recently in the USA, spending 5 years at the Pacific Northwest's major trauma centre in Seattle at the level of Assistant Professor. He has been in Sydney since 2010 with appointments at Royal North Shore Hospital and various private hospitals. Richard is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, a Member of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (UK) and the Australian Society of Anaesthetists.
