BGM PARTNERS - Key Persons
Markus is a Managing Partner of bgm Partners and co-heads the Vienna office. Prior to joining bgm Partners in summer 2007, Markus headed the M&A department of a fast growing industrial conglomerate where he was responsible for a number of acquisitions within the group's core industries - Drive Systems, Plant Engineering, Metallurgy and Machine Tools. As such he also managed several capital market transactions, such as IPOs and the issuance of corporate and convertible bonds.
Before that Markus worked for more than five years with PwC Corporate Finance where he gained significant experience in Valuations/Expert Opinions, Transaction Services, Financial Modelling and Business Recovery for local and international industrial companies. Markus started his career in 1998 with TPA Horwath, Vienna, in an international tax advisory environment and a strong focus on Corporate Finance. Before that, he gained professional experience in international banks (Vienna), public (New York) and private companies (Berlin).
Besides his professional career, Markus is a long-term entrepreneur and has successfully expanded the formerly local family business towards Central & Eastern Europe.
Markus holds a master's degree from the Vienna University of Economics and is fluent in German, English and French. He is located in Austria.
Martin is a Managing Partner of bgm Partners and co-heads the Vienna office. Prior to joining bgm Partners in late 2007, he worked for the Frankfurt based investment banking boutique Acxit Capital Partners, where he advised numerous corporate clients and global private equity firms on cross-boarder M&A transactions, capital market transactions and general Corporate Finance mandates. Before that he gained experience at zeb/asset.management.consult GmbH and Deutsche Bank.
During 2007 Martin worked for the Austrian Red Cross in its International Aid department where he gained valuable insights into development cooperation, global aid and emergency relief operations.
Martin is a CFA charterholder and holds a Master's degree in International Business Administration from the Universities of Vienna and Córdoba, Spain. Martin is fluent in German, English and Spanish. He is located in Austria.
Patrick is a Senior Partner of bgm Partners and heads our Swiss office. Before joining bgm Partners in summer 2007 as CEO, Patrick was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), heading the Corporate Finance practice in Austria and CEE, and a member of the Global Leadership team of PwC Corporate Finance.
His previous professional experiences includes senior management positions on a global scale including: Partner of a US Investment Bank, Director positions in a major European retail/consumer goods company as well as senior positions in two globally active large commodity trading companies (also being shareholder). Patrick has always been an entrepreneur and holds participations and supervisory board positions in a number of entities.
Throughout his professional career, Patrick always worked in international and multi-cultural organisations and lived several years in Latin America, Africa as well as Russia.
Patrick holds a Law and Business Administration degree from the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland and is fluent in German, English, Spanish and French. He is located in Switzerland.
