Dr. Bruce Glazer

Dr. Bruce Glazer graduated from the University of Toronto in 1966 (DDS), again in 1970 (BSCD in Anaesthesia) and once more in 1987 (Diploma in Prosthodontics). During the last 48 years of practice he has held various appointments at the Faculty of Dentistry (UT) in the departments of Anaesthesia and Prosthodontics. He is currently the Prosthodontic Editor for Oral Health and lectures throughout the province for CDPA.

Dr. Christine Hibberd

Dr. Christine Hibberd received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia in 2009 and moved to back to Ontario to complete a General Practice Residency program at Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She then returned to graduate school at the University of Toronto where she completed her Master of Science degree with a specialty certificate in orthodontics. Dr. Hibberd is a fellow of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Canada. She remains involved in many professional associations. Dr. Hibberd loves that she has the opportunity to practice in her hometown of Oakville Ontario with her family every day. She started Hibberd Orthodontics Oakville and works alongside her father, Dr. Graeme Hibberd and her sister, Shannon Haylock, who runs the operations of the clinic. Dr. Hibberd and her family live in Oakville and are so happy to be raising their family where she grew up. Dr. Hibberd and her husband, Dr. Andrei Ionescu, met in dental school at UBC in Vancouver. Dr. Ionescu is an endodontist, who practices in Guelph and Oakville, as part of the Endodontic Care team. They have four wonderful children together: Jack, Henry, Amy and Leah. When Dr. Hibberd is away from practice, you will usually find her spending time with her large family, at various kid's sporting events, usually baseball, or embracing her love for theater and the arts.

Dr. Dennis Krmec

Dr. Dennis Krmec received his Honours B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Toronto in 1981. In 1986 he graduated from the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Dentistry. He completed his specialty training in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Dentistry in 1990. He has been a clinical instructor and lecturer at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Krmec has been a clinical instructor in the Graduate Programme in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Dentistry SurgiCenter. He is currently a Director of the Canadian Dental Protective Association. He is the Senior Dentist Risk Manager at CDPA. He is Chief, Division of Dentistry, Department of Surgery, William Osler Health Service. He is a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Krmec maintains a full-time clinical practice limited to Paediatric Dentistry in Toronto. Dr. Krmec has spent his entire career enjoying the privilege of treating kids and in his spare time enjoys participating in a variety of sports and travelling with his family.

Dr. Graeme Hibberd - President

Dr. Graeme Hibberd graduated from the University of Toronto in 1979 (DDS) and returned for his Orthodontic Specialty program to graduate in 1984. He is passionate about all sports, but particularly tennis, hockey, golf, baseball and soccer.

Dr. Hagen Klieb

Dr. Hagen Klieb is a staff oral medicine and oral pathology specialist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and is cross appointed to the departments of Dental and Maxillofacial Sciences and Laboratory Medicine. He also is head of the oral pathology diagnostic service at LifeLabs. Dr. Klieb's research interests pertain to orofacial pain and novel treatments for the management of autoimmune muco-cutaneous disorders. He is active is graduate medical and dental education.

Dr. Harold Rosenberg - Treasurer

Dr. Harold Rosenberg is proud to be practicing orthodontics in Toronto where he grew up and went to school (11 years at the University of Toronto). Dr. Rosenberg completed his Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in human biology at the University of Toronto (U of T) where he enjoyed playing varsity baseball. He then completed his dental training (DDS) at U of T where he received multiple academic and student leadership awards, including most outstanding student in first year dentistry, the Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award, OKU national dental honor society, and top achievement in orthodontics. After working for one year in general dentistry private practice, Dr. Rosenberg's passion for orthodontics compelled him to return to the University of Toronto to specialize in orthodontics (Orthodontic Specialty Masters of Science). During his specialty training, he was involved in research on the effectiveness of computer-aided programs in teaching orthodontics and has published four articles on the topic in peer-reviewed journals. During his specialty training, Dr. Rosenberg was an orthodontic clinical instructor and examiner. He enjoys staying involved in the dental community and is a part of the National Dental Board Examination of Canada Standards Setting Committee and conducts DDS admission interviews. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Orthodontists, the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Ontario Dental Association, West Toronto Dental Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honours Dental Society, and the Xi Psi Phi Dental Society. Dr. Rosenberg enjoys playing organized hockey throughout the year and baseball in the summer. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching the Leafs, Raptors, and Blue Jays. He particularly enjoys outings with his wife Alexandra, sons James & William, and daughter (princess) Abigail.

Dr. Harvey Taub

Dr. Harvey Taub graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, and then completed his specialty training in periodontics at Boston University, Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Taub is past president of the Ontario Society of Periodontics and the past chief examiner of periodontics at the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Dr. Taub is a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, and is a Director of the Canadian Dental Protective Association.

Dr. Jane Gillanders

Dr. Jane Gillanders graduated from the University of Toronto in 1992. She completed a dental residency at The Hospital for Sick Children in 1993. She attended Pediatric Dentistry at University of Toronto, graduating in 1995. Dr. Gillanders was a Staff Pediatric Dentist at The Hospital for Sick Children from 1995-2000. Dr. Gillanders has been a part-time clinical and didactic instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry University of Toronto since 1995. Dr. Gillanders has maintained a private practice in Pediatric Dentistry in the Toronto Beach area for the past 20 years.

Dr. Jimmy Ho

A graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto in 1996, Dr. Jimmy Ho is a clinical instructor for the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto teaching Prosthodontic, Restorative Dentistry and Treatment planning. Dr. Ho has over 25 years of experience practicing in his North York office. He is a former member of the Discipline Committee of the Royal College of Dental Surgeon of Ontario and Past President of the Chinese Canadian Dental Society.

Dr. Lionel Lenkinski - CEO

Dr. Lionel Lenkinski graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 1979. He then completed a general practice residency at University Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He took his specialty training in endodontics at Boston University, Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry in Boston, Massachusetts, which he completed in 1982. Lionel has long been involved in organized dentistry for which he has received the Award of Merit from both the Ontario Dental Association and the American College of dentists. He speaks regularly in continuing education programs, on the subject of risk management and regulatory compliance. Lionel is also a founding member and Past-President of the Canadian Dental Protective Association, and has been the Executive Director/CEO for the past ten years.

Dr. Morry Murad

Dr. Murad graduated from McGill University Faculty of Dentistry in 1991. He practiced general dentistry in Brampton for several years prior to relocating to the west end of Toronto where he has been since 1995. Morry has served on the executive of several major study groups including OSCO as past president, and TISC as an advisory board member for many years and the ADT study club as a dentist advisor. He is pleased to be working for the CDPA.

Dr. Peter Copp

Dr. Peter Copp graduated from the University of Toronto with a DDS in 1980 with honours and in 1984 with a BScD degree in Anaesthesia. He is a specialist in Dental Anaesthesiology and is a diplomat in the National Dental Board of Anaesthesiology and a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anaesthesiology. He also serves as an instructor in the graduate Anaesthesia and Paedodontic programs at University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry. Presently he divides his time between private practice in the specialty of Anaesthesia, Dentist Risk Manager for CDPA and Anaesthesia consultant to the Ontario Dentist.

Dr. Shawn Steele

Dr. Shawn Steele graduated from Western University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005. Following graduation, he entered into private practice and practice ownership. While continuing to practice dentistry, Dr. Steele earned a Juris Doctor degree and a Master of Education degree. He articled at a full-service law firm while focusing on health law and regulation. He also completed a certificate in Health Profession Regulation and has lectured and written on this topic. Dr. Steele is actively engaged in organized dentistry as a member of the Economics Advisory Committee of the ODA and the Editorial Board of Ontario Dentist. He is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean, Learner Experience at Schulich Dentistry and maintains a private practice.

Dr. Shelina Dhanji

Dr. Shelina Dhanji came to Canada in 1973 as a refugee from Uganda. She earned a Bachelors degree at University of Toronto. She then graduated from Detroit school of dentistry in 1990 and continued her education in her quest for becoming a paediatric dentist at Medical University of South Carolina. Upon completion of her specialty, Shelina moved back to Toronto where she formed a private practice in Ajax now known as "Dentistry 4 Kids. The practice is now home to 5 paediatric dentists and 2 orthodontists. She has been a staff paediatric dentist at The Scarborough Health Network since 1992 and is also a clinical instructor at University of Toronto School of Dentistry- Dept of Paediatric Dentistry. She is also a staff Paediatric dentist at Georgian Bay Hospital and tries to serve the dental needs of children in northern Ontario. Her professional affiliations include Ontario Dental Association, Ontario Society of Paediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Canadian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry and the Durham Ontario Dental Society. She currently sits on the board of CDPA and was the founding member of a National Dental Alliance for Canada known as - Abulcasis. She is happily married and the mother of three beautiful daughters who accompany her twice a year on mission trips to east Africa, and Tajikistan and Northern Pakistan. These third world missions include site planning, building, equipment procurement and setting up of dental clinics and training local professionals to sustain the clinics in her team's absence. She has helped purchase a mobile van to provide basic dental care to communities that have no access to any health care . She also develops policies and procedures for health care institutions in the developing world. Furthermore, she is involved with providing continuing education to dental professionals in East Africa and at Aga Khan University in Pakistan. She hopes to continue her mandate to make basic dental care available to the entire population in the developing world.

Dr. Steve Cohen

Dr. Steve Cohen is a certified dental specialist in Root Canal Therapy. Steve graduated with honours in the Bachelor of Sciences program of the University of Western Ontario and received his D.D.S. from the University of Toronto in 1985. The George Hare Endodontic Study Club Award for proficiency in academics and clinical studies was presented to him at that time. He completed a residency at the Forsyth Dental Centre in Boston, Massachusetts, and went on to the Temple University in Philadelphia for the post-graduate Endodontic program. He was awarded the Louis Grossman Study Club Award for overall performance in endodontics. Dr. Cohen joined Limited to Endodontics in 1988. Since 1989, he has maintained an affiliation with the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto, in teaching endodontics to dental and specialty students. He is also the on-staff endodontist at Sunnybrook Hospital department of dentistry. Before joining on as a Dentist Risk Manager for the CDPA, Steve served three consecutive terms on the Professional Liability Committee of the RCDSO. Recently he has taken up fly-fishing as a hobby, become an avid runner, and has competed in two Toronto Half Marathon races.

Dr. Steve Monardo

Dr. Steve Monardo received his Honours B.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Toronto in 1985. During his studies, he was fortunate enough to spend extended periods of time conducting acid rain research in Algonquin Park. In 1989, he graduated from the University of Western Ontario's Faculty of Dentistry. Since that time, he has maintained a private practice in Brampton, Ontario with a focus on family dentistry. Dr. Monardo is a Director of the Canadian Dental Protective Association as well as a Dentist risk Manager. His primary role at the CDPA is to assist members with inquiries related to insurance billing practices. Outside of dentistry, he is an avid sportsman. Whether it's canoeing and camping in Algonquin Park's backcountry or, fishing in Northern British Columbia, Dr. Monardo feels right at home with whatever the outdoors has to offer.

Nicole Cussons - COO

With a distinguished background in navigating regulatory landscapes and managing non-programmatic matters. Ms. Cussons brings a wealth of expertise to her role in steering the CDPA toward excellence and influence in the dental profession.

Suzanne Rerrie

As a Western University graduate, Suzanne spent more than a decade in the Insurance Industry as a broker, obtaining her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker designation before deciding to take time at home to raise her three children. For the past five years, Suzanne has worked at the City of Cambridge's Centre for the Arts and the David Durward Adult Recreation Centre as part-time Clerk and Weekend Facility & Program Supervisor. In October of 2017 Suzanne joined the CDPA Team as Administrative Assistant and is pleased to be back in the field of Risk Management, once again.
