Dr. Alison May is an assistant professor of neurology at CUIMC, in the Division of Child Neurology. Dr. May completed medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College, pediatric residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and pediatric neurology training at NewYork-Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell Medical Center. She subsequently completed fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology-Epilepsy at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. May is board certified in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology. Dr. May sees outpatient pediatric neurology patients in her practice, with a focus on children with epilepsy, and is interested in providing a comprehensive approach to pediatric neurological care.

Christiane Reitz

Dr. Reitz is a medical doctor and genetic epidemiologist. Her research focuses on the identification of genetic and non-genetic factors that contribute to Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal lobar degeneration, and structural and functional brain changes.

Dr. Arezou Heshmati

Arezou Heshmati, MD is an associate professor of neurology and pediatrics at the CUIMC, in the Department of Neurology, Division of Child Neurology. Dr. Heshmati completed medical school at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She underwent pediatric neurology residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and fellowship training in Sleep Medicine at Wayne State University. Previoulsy, Dr. Heshmati practiced pediatric neurology and sleep medicine as an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, where she developed a clinical and research interest in pediatric sleep disorders and narcolepsy patients. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Sleep Medicine, and Neurology with special qualification in Child Neurology. Dr. Heshmati sees both inpatient and outpatient pediatric neurology patients, and is developing and expanding a Pediatric Neurology Sleep Program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Giuseppe Tosto

Dr. Giuseppe Tosto received his MD and took his residency training in Neurology at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" (Italy). He received his PhD in Neuroscience at the same institution. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Gertrude H. Sergievsky Center and the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain. Dr. Tosto is a genetic epidemiologist who works primarily on populations with admixed ancestry, such as Caribbean Hispanics and African Americans, and has funded projects on admixture mapping and RNA sequencing in the context of Alzheimer's disease. Along with the cited area of interests, other projects focus on Alzheimer's disease heterogeneity and the use of disease's endophenotypes such as neuroimaging, CSF and neuropsychological predictors.
