Dr. Chen (Mavis) Wang

Dr. Chen (Mavis) Wang is an associate professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University. Dr. Wang obtained her Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research interests include expert elicitation in risk assessment, decision making under extreme risks, risk analytics, and data-driven modeling.

Dr. KROB Daniel

Former student of Ecole Normale Supérieure, Daniel KROB got a Ph.D. (1988) and an Habilitation (1991) in Computer Science from University Paris 7. He is Senior Researcher at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), presently Institute Professor at Ecole Polytechnique. He was chair of the Dassault Aviation - DCNS - DGA - Thales - Ecole Polytechnique - ENSTA ParisTech - Telecom ParisTech Chair "Engineering of Complex Systems" since its creation 2003 to 2014. Daniel KROB worked in algebraic & enumerative combinatorics, algorithms for mobile telecommunications and finite automata & formal languages, before specializing nowadays in systems architecture, systems engineering and systems modeling. He is the author of more than 90 scientific papers, 4 books and holds 2 patents. Daniel KROB founded and directed the "Laboratoire d'Informatique Algorithmique: Fondements et Applications" ( LIAFA) of University Paris 7 during 6 years. He was also head, during several years, of the steering committees of two major international conferences in combinatorics & theoretical computer science (FPSAC & STACS). Presently Daniel KROB is chairman of the evaluation commitees of the "Information Management & Modelling" departement of the French Aerospace lab (ONERA) and of the "Architecture & Evaluation of Systems of Systems" group of the technical expertise department of the French ministry of defense (DGA). At international level, he is also one of the 15 founding members of the Omega-Alpha honour association in Systems Engineering.

Mr. Victor Yee

Mr. Victor Yee belongs to the Tiger team (Solution Consultant) of the IBM Watson IoT Business Unit; serving customers across China. His duty includes promoting business development for sales, providing pre-sales consultant, recommending Digital Engineering industrial solutions, deploying model-based development (MBD) services, and helping customers achieve engineering transformation for better innovation and competitiveness. Within the company, Victor has taken the responsibilities of establishing industry-wide solutions for continuous engineering products. That includes positioning of key technologies (such as digital twins, cognitive engineering, and industrial internet) in the market, preparing content and materials for seminars and training. Given his extensive knowledge and experience in the aviation industry, Victor is often invited to work with customers in co-developing landing solutions. He also collaborates with other IBM experts to deliver total solution specific to client's organizational needs. Victor has brought with him over 20 years of experience in systems software and management in the aerospace industry. Prior to joining IBM, he was appointed as chief engineer for United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) - sensors division. At that time, he had the responsibility to oversee project certification effort, managing product field issues, and providing guidance over the entire lifecycle systems/software development activities. He had also been put in charge of design approvals for safety-of-flight, major design reviews and entrusted to lead multiple safety-critical projects on various aircraft platforms. At IBM, Victor acts as the technology advisor for aerospace customers. He provides consultation on MBSE practices and enablement of systems engineering practices. He helps accelerate the adaptation of MBSE at companies and formulates SE solutions that best fit the client needs. In the academic arena, Victor has been teaching a class on "Writing Effective Requirements" - part of an INCOSE series course since 2016. He is also an instructor for a short course "Model Based Systems Engineering in Practice" as part of the Industrial Systems Engineering Program organized by Tsinghua university in 2019.

Mrs. Zhang Jian is Deputy Secretary-General of China Instrument and Control Society. Since 2008, she has been engaged in the management, development trend and strategic planning research work of the instrument and meter industry at the China Instrument and Control Society. She has been working in this filed for over 10 years. Mrs. Zhang has solid foundation in theories, technical knowledge and engineering. Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson served as the Director of the Cornell University Systems Engineering Program. He led the introduction of its online M. Eng. degree program in systems engineering which was subsequently ranked in the top eight such programs by US News and World Report. He has published over thirty articles, primarily in production planning and scheduling, and multi-echelon inventory management. He is the author of an introductory text on systems engineering, Getting Design Right: A Systems Approach. He advised 50 M. Eng. projects over 36 years of service at Cornell. He is a celebrated instructor of industrial engineering and the creator of dozens of experiential learning games and tools. He has consulted extensively with industrial firms, developing systems for production-inventory optimization (Quaker Oats), transportation scheduling (Clopay), readiness-based sparing optimization (Servigistics-PTC), business simulation (General Motors), and vendor-managed inventory optimization (Agco) among others. He was named a "most valuable colleague" by General Motors in 2012.
