DUCKETT CONSTRUCTION - Key Persons

Austin Duckett joined his father Gilbert in 2000. Austin brings many years of construction experience and new ideas to the company. Austin is a craftsman in woodworking and has designed and built several Custom Wood Pieces for individuals. He too is committed to quality craftsmanship and enjoys working in all aspects of the construction process from design to build. Austin has been involved in as well as coordinated many Custom Home Projects and Remodels in the Northern Virginia area. Austin and his wife Anna live in Warrenton. They have two beautiful daughters and enjoy spending quality time as a family. Austin sponsors his eldest daughter's Softball Team and often assists in practice and games as a base coach.

Gilbert Duckett began Duckett Construction over 25 years ago. He grew up in a long line of construction tradesmen including the drywall industry. In 1980 Gilbert saw the need and the opportunity to start his own construction company. Since then he has been building Quality Custom Homes, Unique Custom Additions and Superior Remodeling Projects. Some of Gilbert's custom homes can be found in Evergreen Country Club in Haymarket, Hunton Wood in Broad Run and numerous other locations throughout Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William and Fairfax Counties. Gilbert also works closely with his wife Joannie who has years of experience in both the construction and lending industries. She is an important part of the behind scenes of work that goes on at Duckett Construction. Joannie's experience and eye for design make her an excellent source for help with discussions and decisions such as flooring, kitchen design, fixture selections and other options during construction. Gilbert and Joannie have three children, five grandchildren and a lovable dog Butch. Gilbert enjoys watching his son Adam play baseball for Shenandoah University, spending time with his grandchildren and working on the jobsite side by side with his son Austin.

Karl Young has been an important part of Duckett Construction since 1982. Karl has over 30 years of construction experience. Karl works as an independent subcontractor and takes great pride in his work. He is a master craftsman in woodworking and has been a mentor to Austin. Though no relation, Karl is considered to be "one of the family". Karl lives in Flint Hill and is an avid outdoorsman.
