Mindfulness is now offered to help reduce depression, anxiety, stress, physical pain, relationship conflict, and a wide array of other distressing experiences... For two years I worked as the Psychologist on the Acute Treatment Unit at the Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario. There I worked with people suffering from delusions, hallucinations, paranoia, psychotic depression, mania - the full gamut of profound psychological disturbances.
