Exciter Boats is not new to the small offshore boat market, we continue to produce the best boats possible by relying on lessons learned in the past... In 1989, Exciter Boats got involved in APBA limited inboard hydroplane racing. We introduced the first all fiberglass one piece hydroplane in 1990, sponsored by Code-Alarm car alarms and driven by James Jackson. In the following seasons, the Exciter hydroplane was sponsored by Enterprise Rent-a-Car and Exide Batteries with driver Jimmy King at the controls... Exciter Boats also developed the APBA approved limited inboard hydroplane driver safety cell. This revolutionary design set the standard as a required safety feature found in APBA Limited Inboard Hydroplane racing today. We offer these safety cells for individual purchase.
