Steven L. Greenberg

Mr. Greenberg is a senior private equity professional with 20 years of principal investing experience, having closed more than 30 equity, debt and M&A transactions totaling about $5 billion. Mr. Greenberg also has significant operating experience managing portfolio companies and turnarounds. Mr. Greenberg founded Fox Meadow Capital Partners in 2007, where he developed the proprietary investment relationships that give Fox Meadow access to billions of dollars of equity capital. Mr. Greenberg is also responsible for spearheading Fox Meadow's successful advisory assignments on nearly $1 billion of successful transactions for clients in the middle market and infrastructure sectors. Mr. Greenberg began his career in the power generation business as a developer and builder of cogeneration plants in the late 1980's. In the early 1990's, he initiated development of one of the first non-QF IPPs as well as a proposed natural gas storage facility, giving him experience in project licensing and permitting, design and construction, fuel supply and transportation, state and federal regulation, and federal government contracting. Mr. Greenberg established partnerships with several of the leading companies in the business, including Constellation, Cogentrix and Westinghouse, and completed his first project financing with Goldman Sachs and National Westminster Bank. Before forming Fox Meadow, Mr. Greenberg spent about 10 years with Beverly Hills-based Clarity Partners and its affiliates and portfolio companies. Mr. Greenberg was a top performing partner at Clarity, producing net realized and partially realized gains in excess of $300 million, and IRRs in excess of 70%. While at Clarity, Mr. Greenberg founded ImpreMedia, which is now the largest Spanish language newspaper and information company in the U.S. In late 2003, Mr. Greenberg left Clarity to join ImpreMedia as CFO/EVP of Corporate Development and grew ImpreMedia until leaving in 2007 to form Fox Meadow. Mr. Greenberg has also worked in investment banking for Chase Securities and for Hakman & Company, a merchant bank focused on the transportation sector. Mr. Greenberg received a J.D. from Stanford Law School, an MBA from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management, and a B.S. from the Cornell University College of Engineering, where he wrote his senior paper on HVDC transmission. Mr. Greenberg is an inactive member of the California Bar Association. Mr. Greenberg currently teaches Advanced Private Equity at Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management and serves on the board of Qantum Communications. He previously served as a director/observer for Heartland Publications, ImpreMedia, PrimeCo Wireless Communications, OpNext, TelePacific Communications, and Trillium Digital Systems.
