Dave Fyock - VP

Dave has been with Hughes Landscaping for over twenty-one years, Vice President since 2006. Working with many of the Washington areas' top landscape architects over those years, Dave has developed extensive experience executing significant design projects. Dave sees beyond the project, though, maintaining customers' projects and properties over the long haul.

Jimmy Hopkins

  • Tree Specialist / ISA Certified Arborist
Jimmy joined the Hughes team in 2014, bringing with him knowledge of the professional tree care industry. He has a keen interest in high-quality workmanship, client service, and he continues to enhance his knowledge of Arboriculture. Jimmy discovered his passion for Arboriculture while growing trees at a local nursery in Frederick Maryland after college, which then guided him to pursue all aspects of the tree care industry. Jimmy manages daily operations of Hughes Landscaping's Tree Care Division's sales, production, and safety coordination. Jimmy also has an extensive background in landscape maintenance/construction, and regularly assists clients with value added services in addition to tree care. He is an avid outdoorsman who loves to spend time with family and friends outside of work, and you can expect a friendly greeting from Jimmy when you see him on your jobsite! Jimmy's licenses/credentials include: • ISA Certified Arborist • MD Licensed Tree Expert • Certified Tree Safety Professional (CTSP) • MD Erosion and Sediment Control Certified • NALP Certified Landscape Technician • OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid Certified • Class A Commercial Driver's License

John Hughes - President

Born and raised in the Washington Metro Area, John built Hughes Landscaping on the base of lawns he once mowed as a teenager. Over the years, John has invested in the people (most of his account managers are childhood friends) and equipment to deliver the service those clients have come to rely on. "Value," says John, when asked why clients choose Hughes Landscaping. "We don't aim to be the least expensive company. We invest in full-service. Personal service. That's what a homeowner or a property or a facility manager needs. To know the work will be done - right, on ​time and on-budget. That's value."

Natalie Nunez

Job Titles:

Natalie joined Hughes Landscaping in 2017. She is the office administrator and is the go-to person when it comes to office responsibilities. Natalie has worked in the professional service industry for many years and is a tremendous asset to the Hughes Landscaping family.

Norma Melgar

Norma joined Hughes Landscaping in 2013 and assumes the roles of both Office Manager and Billing Manager. She is responsible for many daily tasks in and around the office and helps ensure amazing customer experiences with homeowners' projects. When calling Hughes Landscaping, chances are high that you're speaking to the one and only Norma!

Tim Gardner

Tim joined Hughes Landscaping in 2000 after decades in the construction field. He brings expert oversight to water management (drainage, regrading) issues, and a professional's eye for projects ranging from retaining walls to patios, gazebos to decks.
