As Greensboro's complementary therapies coordinator, Kelly works with nurses and other staff members to provide holistic care for those at the end-of-life. Used alongside traditional medical treatment methods, complementary therapies can often help ease anxiety and symptoms. Job Titles:
- Long - Time High Point Resident and a Nurse Practitioner for Trellis Supportive Care
- Medical Staff Nurse Practitioner
"Trellis Supportive Care [formerly Hospice & Palliative CareCenter] has had an increasing amount of patients in the High Point area, which I believe is due to the exceptional care that is provided. In my experience, there is no better place for a loved one to receive care."
When some towns undergo rapid growth, they lose their sense of community. Despite large investments in High Point's growth that have transformed the town in recent years, it remains a place where you'd feel comfortable putting roots down. Kim Biss, Trellis Supportive Care's Nurse Practitioner for High Point and the surrounding areas, did just that.
Kim, a 14-year resident of High Point, says that the family atmosphere is apparent in the community and in the work she does with Trellis Supportive Care. After graduating as a Nurse Practitioner, Kim decided to remain a member of the Trellis Supportive Care team and a part of North Carolina's original hospice and palliative care provider. She's proud that the work she does each day helps members of the High Point community and never hesitates to share the positive stories from her experience with Trellis Supportive Care.
