Aisling Condon

Job Titles:
  • Associate Musculoskeletal Specialist
Aisling specialises in the management of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries, including Hypermobility, utilising her qualifications and skills in biomechanics, functional movement, exercise therapy, Pilates and dry needling. She has worked as a qualified Physiotherapist since 2009 and specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 2012. Aisling has worked in both NHS and private settings, including the London Hypermobility Unit; provided physio for both amateur and elite sports teams, including the World Championships of Surfing in Hawaii; and taught both Pilates and Aquatherapy in community and clinical settings. When not near the ocean, Aisling enjoys Pilates, Yoga, functional strength training and swimming.

Becky Duncan

Job Titles:
  • Practice Partner & Neurological Specialist
Becky worked at St James's University Teaching Hospital becoming a senior Neuro-Physiotherapist, developing services for neurological patients. She has worked in Cornwall for over 17 years both in the NHS, as the Clinical Specialist for Stroke and Neurology and privately, as the Principal Physiotherapist at Helston and Neurological Physiotherapy Practice. Becky, along with her husband Rodger, set up Helston and Neurological Physiotherapy Practice in 2007 to provide specialist physiotherapy locally for Stroke, Brain Injury, Parkinsons, MS, and Spinal Cord Injury. She has developed the Cornwall Functional Electrical Stimulation Outreach Clinic from The National FES Centre based in Salisbury Hospital, in partnership with the NHS and is a Saebo trained practitioner. Her extensive experience enables Becky to provide highly skilled assessment and treatments to both neuro and musculoskeletal conditions.

Becky continues to work in partnership with national providers of rehabilitation, injury management specialists and charities such as Parkinsons UK and the Stroke Association to support people locally in Cornwall. She values the opportunity to share her knowledge teaching the Neurological Rocktape course nationwide and has been a regular guest speaker at Therapy Expo. She enjoys working closely with all members of the Physio team and supports their forward thinking approaches and initiatives with CPD opportunities and supervision. Becky is a member of Physiofirst, Association of Physios in Neurology, Association of Physios on Vestibular Rehabilitation and Facial Therapy Specialists UK In her spare time she enjoys holidaying with Rodger and their two teenagers, especially anywhere where the water is warmer than Cornwall ! She loves live music and walking their dog Danny on the coastal paths

Becky Poulding

Job Titles:
  • Associate Paediatric Specialist
Becky has worked in Paediatric Physiotherapy in Cornwall for over 10 years working in both the NHS Children's Community Therapy Service (CCTS) and currently in the Paediatric Orthopaedic department. She strives to provide highly specialist evidence based neurodevelopmental assessments, treatments and education for children, their families and carers with neuromuscular and orthopaedic conditions that result in improved movement and function for children. Becky is a proper foodie and loves meeting up with friends, coastal walks and running with her Cocker Spaniel, stand up paddle boarding and playing tennis. She's also a proud Mummy of two little ones and loves exploring Cornwall with them and her Physio husband !

Damian Warner

Job Titles:
  • Associate Musculoskeletal Specialist
Originally from St Ives, Damian has over 10 years experience as a Musculoskeletal Specialist Physiotherapist in Cornwall. He is also an injection Specialist Physio within the NHS having completed his Masters in Injection Therapy. Damian joined the practice in 2020 and brings with him his expertise in shoulder and Sports injuries and treatment. Damian is an accomplished Stand Up Paddle Boarder and has represented Great Britain at the World Championships in Fiji, Denmark and France. He is also a founding member of the St Ives SUP club and enjoys sharing his love of the water with his two young daughters.

Gemma Berry

Job Titles:
  • Associate Neurological Specialist
Gemma has over 13 years experience of working with a range of Neurological conditions both in the private sector and when she worked in the NHS as the Clinical Specialist for Neurology and Stroke in mid Cornwall. She currently runs the PDActive classes for people with Parkinsons in mid Cornwall and works with patients with complex neurological conditions in Newquay and surrounding areas, often working in peoples homes and work places to provide rehab in the most relevant setting. Gemma combines her knowledge of neuro rehab with techniques to help people regain balance and mobility. Gemma enjoys horse riding, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, yoga and has a very healthy obsession with collecting plastic off her local beaches.!

Jan Oates

Job Titles:
  • Physiotherapy Technical Instructor / Assistant
Jan has over 11 years of experience working within Physiotherapy teams to deliver rehabilitation programmes for children and adults. She has also worked with Occupational Therapists and Dieticians and so has a holistic and professional approach with her patients. Jan works closely with the Physio team at Physio Practice Cornwall to support people in their home or in their local community to deliver bespoke training programmes to help people achieve their goals.

MEL BENYON

Job Titles:
  • Associate Neurological Specialist
Mel works with patients with a variety of neurological conditions before specialising in spinal cord injuries. She worked for 16 years at The Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre in Salisbury, the regional specialist unit for patients with spinal cord injuries, where she shared the post of clinical lead and Superintendent Physiotherapist. Mel has experience of treating patients with all levels and severity of spinal cord injury, including those with respiratory needs, and has used FES with patients for upper and lower limb dysfunction due to a variety of neurological conditions. Since 2010 Mel has used acupuncture and electro-acupuncture for the treatment of pain and conditions associated with neurological and musculoskeletal damage and is also a Stecco fascial release therapist. 

Mel joined the team in January 2014 and is a valuable member of the Neuro rehab team, assessing and treating neurological conditions as well as developing the Spinal Cord Injury and Vestibular rehab services. In 2017 Mel co-wrote with Becky the Rocktape teaching manual for Neurological Physiotherapists and continues to teach the course nationwide.

Natasha Millar

Job Titles:
  • Associate Musculoskeletal Specialist
Natasha has over 20 years' experience in Physiotherapy having worked in wide variety of settings, including working within the NHS, MOD and private sector both in England and Australia. She is a Musculoskeletal Specialist and works predominantly with orthopaedic conditions including sports injuries, overuse injuries and occupational problems. She has gained extensive experience with whilst working at RNAS Culdrose in injury management techniques and rehabilitation helping patients return to physically demanding roles by utilising effective strength and conditioning programmes. Natasha employs a variety of treatment techniques within her practice including clinical pilates and manual therapy. She is also a qualified acupuncture practitioner with a special interest in chronic pain. Natasha enjoys walking and yoga when she gets some free time. She is also a keen sewer and is learning to spin wool - a different take on a spinning class !

RODGER DUNCAN

  • Practice Partner & BUSINESS MANAGER
Following his Business degree in Leeds, Rodger worked in the insurance industry and small businesses for 6 years before embarking on a career as a PE teacher. He has worked in secondary schools in Leeds and West Cornwall for 18 years, striving to promote sports and activity in young people. In 2007 he set up Helston and Neurological Physiotherapy Practice with his wife Becky and in 2017 opened the sister practice in Newquay, Prow Park Physiotherapy Practice. Rodger left teaching in 2018 to work full time at the Physio Practices to develop the business and ensure effective and sustainable relationships with all our business partners and intermediaries. He co-ordinates our expanding team of Associate Physio's and supports the office staff to ensure a happy working environment. Rodger enjoys coaching youth football in Helston and plays football and tennis. He is also a food enthusiast who loves to cook and a music fan who tries to see live music whenever possible.

Sarah Dugan

Following four years working as a gym manager in Penryn Sarah joined Helston and Neurological Physiotherapy Practice as the practice administrator. She has been an integral part of the Practice since its conception in 2009. Now as Practice Manager she effectively co-ordinates patients appointments and the smooth running of the Practice. She works closely with both charitable and NHS providers to secure funding for patient treatment and provides patient support for case managers and other intermediaries. Working with so many physio's has rubbed off on Sarah as she does Pilates classes twice a week and enjoys walking her two crazy dogs across the Cornish countryside. She's passionate about food and loves meeting up with friends.

Vicky Chamberlain

Job Titles:
  • Practice Administrator
Vicky joined Helston and Neurological Physiotherapy Practice in September 2011. Prior to this she worked for a local charity who provide support to the elderly in their communities. She has over 20 years administration experience, 14 of which were spent serving in the Royal Navy both in the UK and overseas. Here at the practice Vicky manages the FES Outreach Clinic and assists Sarah with the day today running of the practice. Vicky loves seeing live music and theatre, meeting up with friends and Navy Wrens. She's a (fair weather!) walker/runner who is also a Volunteer Assessor for the Royal British Legion.
