LCID

The Louisiana Coalition for Interior Design (LCID), proposed by Dan Bouligny in 1986, was formally established in 1999 to support legislative efforts relative to our profession. Now is an appropriate time to join forces in reinvigorating LCID, a non- profit corporation, that allows unaffiliated interior designers as well as ASID and IIDA members, industry partners, educators, students, and friends to make a difference at the grass roots level for the common good of the interior design profession in Louisiana... As you may be aware, organized and well-funded opposition to interior design legislation has posed significant obstacles to interior designer's right to practice elsewhere in our country. We in Louisiana have been fortunate thus far; other states have lost their footing in the face of persistent challenges. An effective Louisiana Coalition for Interior Design can help keep us all proactive in defining and strengthening our profession... LCID's current goals include outreach..
