Bette was trained as a Registered Nurse in the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster BC and worked in Sacramento CA for her entire career.
Dan was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba before moving to the west coast with his family at a very young age. Upon graduation from University of BC with a degree in engineering, he began officer training with the Canadian Armed Forces in which he served for 5 years including 3½ years under NATO command in Germany. Upon release from the military, he joined the family fire safety and security business where he worked primarily in customer service. This was followed by 12 years consulting for various business clients. During a six-month stint with a private funeral and cemetery provider, Dan discovered a profession where he could have a lasting impact on the clients he served. This led to his decision to seek licensing as a Funeral Director. In 2020, he was awarded an academic scholarship by the Funeral Service Foundation. Dan and his wife, Marina, have been married for 37 years. They have 4 adult children.

Ian grew up in Virden, Manitoba, a community of approx. 3500 people. Growing up in this farming community instilled in Ian the principle of caring, looking out for your neighbour and always offering a helping hand. Ian began his career in funeral service in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. After a few years he moved to Regina where he met his wife Greta. Ian has spent the last 32 years serving families in Lower Mainland. His calming approach in serving families places them at ease and his sensitivity in serving them is appreciated. He is a past board member of the BC Funeral Service Association, having served 7 years. He is active in Rotary, sits on the Board of Directors for the Otter Co-Op, his faith community and readily volunteers as needed.
