Dave Brown

Dave Brown has been around almost as long as MPW. Brown helped set up the first wash truck in the spring of 1972. If it weren't for a two-year absence in the late 1970s, Brown's tenure with the company would be just a few days shy of Monte Black, CEO and founder of MPW. Brown's absence from MPW, from 1978 to 1980, helped him realize how much he missed the challenge of different jobs and being a part of something he could help grow. As MPW's industrial cleaning business started to take off in 1980, Brown rejoined the company and never looked back. Today, Brown serves as the Vice President of Operations, functioning as an expert on MPW's industrial cleaning equipment and managing or consulting on a variety of projects ranging from outages to decommissioning to emergency environmental cleanups.

Jim Neville's career at MPW began in 2002 as the General Manager of the Container Management Division. He utilized over 20 years of automotive management experience to develop a strong team focused on safety, metric management, the value of people and customer responsiveness. Since that assignment he has exacted high standards in a leadership role within each Business Unit of MPW. In 2010, MPW Owner/CEO Monte Black named Jim Chief Operating Officer, citing his credibility, management and passion for success. Safety, which has always been one of Jim's core values, is a critical component to the MPW culture. Jim was named Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing in November, 2015. Upon graduation from Pennsylvania State University in 1981, Jim joined the Delco Chassis Division of General Motors in Rochester, N.Y. Delco Chassis was one of the largest component divisions of General Motors, producing fractional horsepower motors, shock absorber/strut assemblies, and coil springs. Over the next 22 years and through two acquisitions he broadened his experience and knowledge by working multiple staff areas in several geographic locations. His assignments included frequent travel to China, Mexico, Canada, France and Germany. Jim's four-year Engineering degree provided a highly technical and sound business foundation which was complemented by his MBA graduate work at Rochester Institute of Technology and University of Dayton. He also studied International Graduate Business Management at Insead University in Fontainebleau, France. Jim's other post-graduate studies include Crosby Quality College (Winter Park, Fla.), Lean and Six-Sigma training.

John Feeney - CHRO

Job Titles:
  • Director of Human Resources
  • Corporate Human Resources Manager
  • Life You Love John Feeney Corporate Human Resources Manager
Live the Life You Love John Feeney Corporate Human Resources Manager John Feeney can find giving suggestions to aspiring corporate HR managers a little ... Corporate Human Resources Manager John Feeney can find giving suggestions to aspiring corporate HR managers a little challenging because everyone has their own way of accomplishing a task or goal, and everyone has a different way of processing information. But, from a career perspective, the best "advice" he can give is that he's found he receives the most professional fulfillment when he's doing something he enjoys. "If I enjoy what I'm doing, it feels a lot less like work and more like I'm on a team with people, having fun and trying to accomplish a shared goal," Feeney said. "MPW is a great company, with a really smart and energetic workforce. I like that my job allows me to interact with a lot of different people, within a lot of different departments, often within the same day!" As a Corporate HR Manager at MPW, Feeney assists Director of Human Resources Jim Tyznik with different aspects of the department. Some areas of focus include corporate policy development and management, benefit administration, HR compliance matters-such as wage and hour compliance-union-related guidance and HR system-related enhancements or changes. Feeney said a Corporate HR Manager's "routine" depends on what projects are taking place. For instance, he said MPW just finalized a very complex business transaction, which meant that most of his days, especially leading up to the transaction's conclusion, were consumed with making sure everything was lined up and ready to go. "With that in mind, I think one of the most challenging things about any job, and not just the corporate HR manager role, is time management," Feeney said. "Everyone would love to get everything done, and on time, but that's not always possible. So, I'm always searching for how I can be the most efficient with my time." In total, Feeney has worked for MPW for roughly 10 years, beginning as an attorney within the legal department. He said there is a lot of cross-over between an Associate General Counsel-attorney within the legal department-and his current Corporate HR Manager role. Many of Feeney's current responsibilities overlap with his former position because he still ensures MPW's corporate policies and procedures are compliant with various laws and regulations. These range from pay practices to leave of absences and benefit administration, among many others. "Having established relationships with many employees while I was in the legal department has most certainly helped in the transition to the Corporate HR Manager role," Feeney said. Feeney enjoys being at home with Katie, his wife of nearly 20 years, and their three boys ages 14, 12 and eight. "My kids are active in sports, so I like to attend their practices and games. But seriously, outside of that I'm a pretty uninteresting person," he confessed. "Most people who know me at MPW would say that in my spare time, I like to run and eat Spaghetti-O's. Actually, that's not true. I'll eat most any Chef Boyardee product!"

Justin Pierce

In 2007, Justin was promoted to engineering supervisor, and in 2013 he was named director of engineering for the Industrial Water Division. He was named to his current position in 2016. Justin led the design and development of the industry's first combined reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration mobile trailer, which MPW introduced in 2016. He also directed construction of MPW's regeneration plant in Port Arthur, Texas, in 2012, and was the technical lead for the Georgetown, S.C., plant, which opened in 2017. Justin is an adviser to the Central Ohio Technical College and a former member of the advisory board for the International Water Conference.
