Dr Atef Saba

Dr Atef Saba obtained his medical degree from Damascus University in 1992 and a Research Master Degree in recurrent miscarriage. In 1997, he moved to the UK and worked at district and teaching hospitals and obtained the Fellowship in the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Subsequently, he obtained postgraduate training in the areas of Minimal Access Surgery, Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Medicine. Dr Saba obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology in 2010. He obtained Mater Degree in Reproductive Medicine From The University of New South Wales in 2012 and a Master Degree in Public and Global Health from the University of Western Australia in 2022. His interests are reproductive immunology and balanced holistic approach to fertility and recurrent miscarriage.

Dr Bhanu P S Deval

Bhanu joined PIVET in January, 2020 and is enthusiastic about providing the mild and natural IVF treatment at PIVET. He also established the MiFertility Centre in Midland, consulting from suites at One for Women, Midland as well as at Zest IVF Clinic, Midland. He works as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospital where he has his operating list. Bhanu has recently returned from the UK where he gained extensive experience in the treatment of sub fertility, working at CREATE Fertility in London. He also has advanced Gynaecological ultrasound experience for women with more challenging fertility backgrounds ie. advanced maternal age, low egg reserve, severe endometriosis/adenomyosis & multi-fibroid uterus.

Dr C Soundaram

Dr C Soundaram (Chanemouga Soundaram Coundjidapadam) is a consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist who graduated at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS - 1999) in New Delhi and obtained his Certificate of Completion of Training in the UK under the RCOG (Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecolgists). He completed his infertility training at Bournhall Clinic in Cambridge, UK, before moving to Perth in 2015. In 2016 he obtained his RANZCOG Fellowship. Dr Dilum Madigasekara

Dr Dilum Madigasekara commenced working in IVF and Infertility Management at PIVET Medical Centre in 2011, after joining South West Obstetrics & Gynaecology in January 2011. Prior to that he worked for eight years for Queensland Health and he now has over 20 years of experience in the Speciality of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. We are pleased to announce that Dr Madigasekara will be commencing consultation for infertility patients at PIVET Bunbury in 2017. For all appointments, please contact our friendly staff at PIVET. Dr Madigasekara is trained and qualified as a Specialist in Australia, as well as Sri Lanka. After migrating to Australia he underwent further training with special focus on laparoscopic surgeries, fertility care and IVF. He is also an active Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr Madigasekara is a Board Member of Examiners for RANZCOG and currently Training Supervisor at the Bunbury Campus. Dr Madigasekara provides Obstetric Services at Bunbury Regional Hospital and St John of God Hospital Bunbury. He offers all services in Obstetrics including normal deliveries, VBAC, ECV, instrumental deliveries and Caesarean Sections. He is happy to provide shared care and readily available for emergency obstetric situations.

Dr Gabrielle Reid

Gabrielle has worked as a Genetic Counsellor for over 10 years and has experience encompassing familial cancer, reproductive and adult genetic counselling. Gabrielle has experience working in both the public and private health sectors, and currently also coordinates the genomics stream of the Master of Genetic Counselling at The University of Melbourne. Gabrielle achieved a PhD in genetics at The University of Western Australia, is registered as a Genetic Counsellor with the Human Genetics Society of Australasia and the Australasian Society of Genetic Counsellors. Gabrielle is committed to providing patients with a professional service, and support them in understanding and adapting to the medical, psychological and familial implications of genetic contributions to disease.

Dr Jesse Clifford

Dr Jesse Clifford was born and raised in Perth. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine in 2007, graduating from the University of Western Australia. She also completed her Masters in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Sydney in 2017 obtaining her specialist qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology through the Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2019. Dr Clifford is currently practicing in the areas of Private Gynaecology and Fertility. She takes a patient centred and holistic approach and is dedicated to providing the highest level of care.

Dr Shanthi Srinivasan

Dr Shanthi Srinivasan is an experienced Gynaecologist & Reproductive Medicine Specialist with over 20 yrs experience in the field. She is passionate about all aspects of Subfertility such as Reproductive Endocrinology, Reproductive Surgery, Ultrasonography & Embryology. She obtained her obtained her Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology in 2014 and joined the PIVET team in Dec 2014. Between 2010 and 2014, she worked in Royal Hobart Hospital, Tasmania to complete the requirements for her fellowship. Dr Shanthi graduated from Kilpauk Medical College Hospital, India. She completed advanced Obstetric & Gynaecological training in 1994 from the prestigious King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India. In 1995 she commenced as a Specialist and Lecturer at Sri Ramachandra Medical University in Chennai, India. There she worked for nearly 13 yrs, gathering a vast experience in complex pelvic surgery, Endoscopic Surgery, high risk Obstetrics, Gynaecological Ultrasound & Gynaecological Oncology. She is a qualified Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine & Embryology, trained in the Institute of Reproductive Medicine, Chennai, India. She moved to Australia in 2008. She continues to work as a Gynaecologist and IVF Specialist at PIVET Medical Centre.

Dr Tamara Hunter

Qualifications: MBBS (Hons) BSc(Hons) FRANZCOG CREI PIVET's Medical Director Dr Tamara Hunter is a Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist with subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, based here in Perth. Tamara is passionate about holistic, evidence-based reproductive care and health and wellbeing. Tamara began her career with a degree in Exercise Science, working as an Exercise Physiologist and Corporate Health Consultant in Sydney. Driven by the pursuit of advanced health care for women, Tamara embarked on her medical training, becoming a doctor and subsequently returned to Perth and specialised in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. During this time she developed a keen interest in fertility. In 2011 she obtained Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility; the highest qualification available to a fertility specialist in Australia. Tamara was the first female doctor in Western Australia to achieve this. Tamara's career has continued to blossom with the creation of WOOM, a multi-disciplinary women's health hub in West Perth that provides specialist healthcare to women throughout their reproductive years. Tamara has an empathetic approach to patient care. She strives to empower you with information about your options, providing treatment tailored to you. She offers a full range of fertility services at our sister clinic, PIVET Medical Centre in Perth. As part of her commitment to women's health, Tamara works as a Paediatric Gynaecologist at Perth Children's Hospital and as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Women's and Infant's Health at the University of Western Australia.

Jason Conceicao

Laboratory Director Jason Conceicao, graduated with a science degree from the University of Western Australia in 2001 and has completed his Masters in Clinical Embryology from Monash University. Jason has worked at PIVET Medical Centre for the past 15 years, and in that time has had the opportunity to venture to Cairns (Queensland) to set up and oversee the IVF Laboratory at our sister clinic, Cairns Fertility Centre. He is an active member of SIRT (Scientists in Reproductive Technology) and currently sits on the SIRT Committee, as well as serving as a Technical Assessor for NATA. Jason has a particular interest in vitrification (freezing techniques) and sperm selection for ICSI.

John Yovich

Professor John Yovich is widely acknowledged for his pioneering work in In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) resulting in Western Australia's first IVF baby delivered in 1982 and the establishment of PIVET Medical Centre.

PIVET Medical Centre's Clinical Psychologist, Margaret van Keppel, is an Approved (Fertility) Counsellor (by the Western Australian Reproductive Technology Council). She has worked in the fertility field for more than 15 years. She consults at PIVET Medical Centre as an independent practitioner, and also has a community-based clinical psychology practice.
