ROOTS FIRST DESIGN

Roots First Design is a collaborative of landscape designers who are dedicated to creating places where people can thrive. We work with homeowners, community groups, civic associations, and schools to design productive outdoor spaces that engage people in the process... We find that when people have a hand in shaping their world they care more about it- because of this, we create designs that people can implement themselves or that we can help them implement... We feel strongly that designing ‘with' is better than designing ‘for', so we make sure our clients are a central part of our team. We also work with ecologists, environmental artists, psychologists, educators, and other landscape architects to generate an authentic design process.
