R. L. Morrison & Sons, Inc. is a family owned marine construction business that has been in continuous operation since 1921. It was organized by R. L .Morrison and H. W. Morrison in McClellanville, South Carolina, which is at the northern end of Charleston County between Highway 17 and the Intracoastal Waterway. The business office, equipment yard, railway, and dock are located at 623 Morrison Street on Jeremy Creek in McClellanville... Our business specializes in the construction and repair of fixed piers, docks, fender systems, bulkheads, boat ramps, revetments, groins and rock jetties for beach erosion, marinas and powerline crossings. We also do occasional salvage of sunken vessels, submarine cable installation, and subaqueous pipeline installation, outfalls and intakes. Underwater work requiring divers is subcontracted out to a commercial diving company providing their own insurance including Jones Act with limits that either meets or exceeds our own coverage.
