Peter has over 30 years of experience in the Crop Protection Industry, focused primarily on trees, nuts, fruits, vines, vegetables, hemp and various niche crops that abound in the Western U.S. During this time, he has managed both branded and post patent products at a regional and national level. After launching Sym-Agro, Inc in 2012 his focus has been on the growing segment of effective biological, bio-activators and soft chemistries.
Peter began his career with Rhone-Poulenc as a sales representative in the Pacific NW. When RP launched Sedagri, he managed post patent portfolio in the PNW region. During the transition of RP to Aventis he took on the role of regional account manager for the PNW region. Upon leaving Aventis, he founded and launched AgValue, Inc., gaining an in-depth understanding of the U.S. Ag Distribution system, business cycles, competitive relationships within regions and value propositions for the channel. Having operated a post patent company led to extensive experience on how to successfully manage products though the EPA and state regulatory process, in addition to the toll production and packaging process. Mr. Bierma holds a Bachelor of Science in Crop Science from Oregon State University, Corvallis.
Mr. Bierma and his family reside in Aurora, Oregon.
Steve is our Chief Financial Officer and is located at our office headquarters in Visalia, California. He has over 30 years of experience in public and private accounting with extensive experience in the ag industry, including the position of Chief Financial Officer and co-owner of AgValue, Inc. prior to its acquisition by United Phosphorous, Inc. He also manages a walnut farming operation in the central San Joaquin Valley of California. Steve has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from California State University, Fresno.
