Farah Mamedov

Farah Mamedov, MD, F.A.A.P., has been with Steeplechase Pediatric Center since 2005. She completed her medical studies at the Azerbaijan State Medical University, where she graduated with honors. Dr. Mamedov obtained her pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine. After completion of her residency in 2004, she was a Fellow at the Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine Department at Baylor College of Medicine until joining Steeplechase Pediatric Center. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a member of Harris County Medical Society and American Medical Association. Dr. Mamedov has admitting privileges at North Cypress Medical Center and Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center. She is married, has 2 daughters, Aliya and Aileen, and lives in the Houston area. Dr. Mamedov loves traveling and exploring new cultures and cuisines. She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her kids. Dr. Mamedov speaks Azerbaijani and Russian. At this time she mainly sees patients at our NCMC, Cypress - Skinner and Cypress - Springs locations.

Huda Battikhi

Huda Battikhi, MD, F.A.A.P., was born and grew up in San Diego, California. She completed a B.A. in General Biology and Minor in Language Studies with a focus in American Sign Language at the University of California, San Diego in 2007. Dr. Battikhi worked for two years before moving to Tampa, Florida for medical school. She completed her medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 2013. Dr. Battikhi moved back to California to complete her 3 years of pediatric residency training at the Loma Linda University Children's Hospital in 2016. She subsequently worked in a private clinic in San Diego, California for 2 years until she met her husband, a Houston resident. Dr. Battikhi speaks English and Arabic. She likes to spend her free time with family and friends, doing art and craft projects, writing poetry, reading, walking and kayaking. At this time Dr. Battikhi sees patients at our Katy location.

Jane Stones

Jane Stones, M.D., F.A.A.P. was born in Louisiana, and raised in the Houston area. After graduating from Texas A&M in College Station with a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Science, she started her career as a teacher in Spring Branch ISD and Cy-Fair ISD teaching mainly high school chemistry for 15 years. During this time, she earned 2 M.Ed degrees in Curriculum and Instruction - Science Education and Educational Leadership and Cultural Studies. At this point, Dr. Stones decided to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor. She graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2012 and completed her residency in pediatrics at the same location in 2015. She is board certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has previously worked in the clinic and urgent care setting. Dr. Stones is married and has 2 children, Abigail and Spencer, 2 dogs, Molly and Stuart and a blue-tongued skink - Bruny. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, travelling, birding, and relaxing with her family. Dr. Stones is proficient in medical Spanish. At this time, she sees patients at our NCMC and Cypress - Skinner locations.

Justin Bielamowicz

Justin Bielamowicz, MD, F.A.A.P. grew up in the small farming community of Bremond, TX where he spent most of his time fishing the Brazos River. Like his father and grandfather, he also learned the craft of woodworking and still enjoys it today. He attended the University of Texas in Austin, graduating with honors, and went to medical school at UT Southwestern in Dallas where he met his wife Hannah. Together, they moved to Winston-Salem, NC to complete their residency training at Wake Forest. They are now enjoying life close to family in Cypress with their five dogs - Milly, Marley, June, LuLu, and CiCi. At this time Dr. Bielamowicz sees patients at our Cypress - Springs, Cypress - Skinner and Fulshear locations.

Margaret McPherson

Margaret McPherson, MD, F.A.A.P., was born and grew up in Northeast Texas. She received her B.S. in Biology from Texas A&M University in College Station and went on to attend medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. McPherson lives in Richmond with her husband and their two daughters, Lillian and Elizabeth. She is affiliated with Memorial Herman, Katy, North Cypress Hospital and Cypress Fairbanks Hospital. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is a member of the Texas Medical Association and Harris County Medical Society. At this time she see patients at our Fulshear location.

Mario Garza Jr.

Mario Garza Jr. MD, F.A.A.P., is a native Houstonian who lives in the Cypress area. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School-Houston in 1984, and continued with his 3 year Pediatrics residency there. Upon completion of his training in 1987, he joined Steeplechase. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics-board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Garza has served as Chairman of the department of pediatrics at both North Cypress Medical Center and Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center, and currently serves on the Board of Governors at North Cypress. He is married to Lisa, and has 2 daughters, Andrea and Hannah. Dr. Garza is fluent in Spanish. At this time he sees patients at our NCMC and Cypress - Skinner locations.

Mark A Lorenzen

Mark A Lorenzen, MD, F.A.A.P., is a native Texan. He graduated from Texas A&M University and then completed medical school and residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1980. He practiced Pediatrics for 27 years in Waco, Texas before moving to Katy in 2008. Dr. Lorenzen is board certified in Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Texas Pediatric Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the Harris County Medical Society. He is on the staff of Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital. Dr. Lorenzen is married to Regina and has raised 6 children. He has 8 grandchildren in the Katy area and 2 more in Waco. He is well versed in caring for patients from newborns through the teenage years. At this time Dr. Lorenzen sees patients at our Katy location.

Naheed Rahman

Naheed Rahman, MD, F.A.A.P., is the founding physician of Steeplechase Pediatric Center. She completed her pediatric studies at the Tulane Medical School and did two additional years of fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology. Dr. Rahman is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has been in private pediatric practice in Northwest Houston and the Greater Houston area for the past 38 years. Dr. Rahman is currently a part of the Medical Staff of North Cypress Medical Center and Willowbrook Methodist Hospital. She is married, and has 3 adult children. They used to come to her office and help during summer months, saw her interaction with patients and their families and as a result all of them are physicians now. Dr. Rahman loves to cook, enjoys gardening and takes great pleasure in taking care of all 8 of her grandchildren. She is well versed in all aspects of pediatric care from newborn to eighteen years of age. Dr. Rahman enjoys the fact that she is able to see second generation patients. She speaks Hindi and Urdu. At this time Dr. Rahman sees patients at our Cypress - Skinner location.

Tracey Y. Louie

Tracey Y. Louie, MD, F.A.A.P, was born and raised in New York. She received her B.A. in Biology from New York University, and her medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, which is part of State University of New York system. Dr. Louie completed pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore in New York, and is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Prior to relocating to Texas for her husband's job, she practiced at a busy pediatrics establishment in New York for 2 years. She lives with her husband and daughter in The Woodlands. Dr. Louie is fluent in Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin, Taishanese) and is proficient in medical Spanish. At this time Dr. Louie sees patients at our NCMC location.

Veronica K. Goytia

Veronica K. Goytia, MD,F.A.A.P., was born in New York and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She received her B.A. in Pre-Med/Biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and received her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine, in Grenada, W.I. in 2001. Dr. Goytia completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas in 2004. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2008, she completed her Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. She has admitting privileges at North Cypress Medical Center, Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center and Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. Dr. Goytia is fluent in Spanish, and also speaks French. She lives in Cypress area and enjoys spending time with her daughter Aileen, and traveling the world. At this time she sees patients at our NCMC and Cypress - Skinner locations.
