Matt Blanchard

After graduating from Saltillo High School, Matt began his college education at Northeast Community College where he played football on back-to-back north division championship teams under head football coach Andy Greening. As a result of his efforts on the field and in the classroom, Matt was named to the MJCAA All-State team and also named an academic All-American. Following his time at Northeast, Matt transferred to Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana to complete his athletic and educational pursuits. Matt played football for Nicholls State for two years and was named to the Southland Conference Football All-Academic team and the Southland Conference Commissioner's Academic honor roll and was also named a team captain and the NSU male student-athlete of the year. Matt graduated magna cum laude from Nicholls State with a degree in Business Administration. After graduating from Nicholls State, Matt returned home to north Mississippi to attend the University of Mississippi School of Law. While at Ole Miss, Matt was a charter member of the University of Mississippi School of Law Sports Law Society, and he served as its Vice President during that time. He also studied International Law, International Anti-Terrorism Law and International Antitrust Law while studying abroad at Cambridge University. In addition to his studies, Matt also clerked at a leading law firm in Oxford, and he gained extensive criminal law experience as an intern with the Office of the District Attorney for the First Judicial District of Mississippi.
