Dr Chamil Samaranayaka is the principal dentist at Sydenham Dental Centre. He is an Otago graduate with 16 years of dental experience. He is also a fully qualified medical doctor and has experience in various medical and surgical disciplines working at Christchurch Public Hospital. Dr Samaranayaka currently works at Sydenham Dental Centre as well as Christchurch Public hospital.
Leigh graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology in 1991 and a Bachelor of dental Surgery in 1994.
Leigh holds her certificate in intravenous sedation and is a member of the NZDA.
Leigh has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, including crown & bridge, veneers and implants, root canal treatment and oral surgery.
Outside of work, Leigh enjoys gardening, reading, travelling , and walking her dogs in the port hills.
Liying graduated from the University of Otago Faculty of Dentistry in 2014 and has practiced in Christchurch since graduation. Liying is very gentle and thorough and takes the time to talk through all treatment options with patients. She practices all aspects of dentistry, with special interest in intravenous sedation, root canals and difficult surgical procedures.
Liying has a large following of regular patients who enjoy her very kind and caring nature. Liying can speak English and Mandarin Chinese.
Outside of dentistry, Liying enjoys travel, mountain biking and spending time with family and her bunnies.
