LOUGHLIN LAW FIRM

Loughlin Law Firm has a long history of service to Cherokee and its citizens. Established in 1918 by John F. Loughlin following his return home from service in World War I, our firm was first located on Main Street, in offices on the second floor of the Blumer-Clay & Co. Building, now known as Mud on Main. From there our offices moved to the Cherokee State Bank Building located on the corner of Main and Hwy 59 (now Rasmus Realty) and to West Main in the building now known as Creative Services. Thanks to the G.I. Bill, John D. Loughlin graduated from the University of Iowa School of Law in 1951 and that same year returned to Cherokee to join the practice with his father. John F. and John D. continued to practice on Main Street until 1965 when they built a new office located at 231 West Maple Street, the current office location.
