As you certainly know, EDM is a Mozambican company with a noble and challenging mission of taking energy to all the points of our Mozambique. It is effectively a rewarding mission of this pillar institution for the development of our Country, and, as a result, our slogan is Lighting the Transformation of Mozambique... EDM is not a company for those working in it. It is for all Mozambicans and, in that way, all of them have the patriotic way of making their contribution... EDM as a State-Owned Company was set up in 1977, two year following the Independence of Mozambique. The objective was to establish and operate public service in Generation, Transmission and Distribution of electricity.
