Alli Sangster-Wall

As Enter & View Officer I plan, arrange and co-ordinate the visits our volunteers make to health & social care service providers. I am also trained as an Authorised Representative for Enter & View visits.

Anne Wignall

Job Titles:

Anne was an English teacher before joining the charity sector as a campaigner and education specialist. She has been a Board member of several national and international charities including Cruse and the RSPCA. She works with a number of local charities and other organisations and is currently Deputy Mayor of Ellesmere.

Bob Welch

Bob worked as a social worker becoming District Director of Adult Social Services in Birmingham before moving to the Social Services Inspectorate of the Department of Health. He has since worked as a an Independent Social Care Consultant. For the last 9 years, he has served on Church Stretton Town Council; for 6 years chairing the local Health & Social Care Partnership.

Brian Rapson

David Voysey

David was a civil servant in welfare departments for 32 years. For several years he was a Regional Manager in a Special Health Authority. Since the 1970s he has been involved in local community affairs including being a Parish and District Councillor. His other voluntary activities include being a member and Chairman of Alveley Village Hall's Management Committee, a previous Trustee for the Community Council of Shropshire and as a leisure pleasure, he plays boules and is Chairman of the Severn Valley Petanque League.

Dee Walker

Dee has worked in the NHS for over 40 years primarily in Primary Care managing a variety of General Practices and Clinics including Walk in Centres. She has also worked within Clinical Governance and was Head of Information Governance for NHS Gloucestershire. Dee has a passion for improving quality of care and accessibility to health care. She has a safeguarding role with in the local PCC. Born in Shropshire Dee has recently returned here following her retirement.

Liz Florendine

My role is to encourage residents of Shropshire to increase their involvement in the development and improvement of local health and social care services. I also support the Engagement Officers at public events and stakeholder meetings.

Lynn Cawley

As Healthwatch Shropshire's Chief Officer I support our Board, develop and maintain our relationship with key partners and am responsible for ensuring that we deliver not only our statutory responsibilities but also our work programme for our local people. Healthwatch Shropshire has a place on the Health and Wellbeing Board and I participate in the meetings to to represent the views of the people of Shropshire. Healthwatch Shropshire is also involved in a wide range of health and social care committees in the county and it is really important to attend so that we know what is going on and what the issues are. One of my roles is to make sure your opinions are heard by the service providers and commissioners to enable change.

Mark Lacey

Mark began working life as a project manager for British Petroleum before moving into voluntary sector management in 1996. Since then, he has led Calderdale Mencap/ Mayfield Trust, Kirklees Citizens Advice and Law Centre, and continues to work part-time as a director of Dee Valley Trust CIC, a community development trust based in Cefn Mawr, Wrexham. Whilst working in Kirklees, Mark led a partnership bid, winning a contract to set up Healthwatch Kirklees. This sparked an interest in the organisation, development and performance of NHS services. Mark recently moved to Whitchurch and identified Healthwatch Shropshire as one of the most worthwhile local organisations to get involved with.

Rich Amos

Rich Amos has been a volunteer for Healthwatch Shropshire since 2021. He sits on the Engagement and Marketing committee and is a trained Authorised Representative undertaking E&V visits. Rich is a trustee for various Boards including Community Resource. He has experience working as an advocate for other people with disabilities and is really interested in empowering people to have their voices heard and removing possible barriers to this.

Steve Price

Steve has been a volunteer with Healthwatch Shropshire since 2014. He spent his professional life in the field of Public Health. His role for the majority of that time was as liaison officer between the Local Authority and the Health Authority, as it was then known.

Terry Harte

  • Retired Pharmacist
Terry is a recently retired pharmacist. He has worked in various management positions for two national companies, Boots and Tesco. He, his wife and three sons moved to Shropshire over twenty five years ago. Since then he has been involved in a number of local bodies, i.e. Shrewsbury Area Board of the Training and Enterprise Council, Shrewsbury Town Centre Management and as a governor at two schools. Latterly he chaired the Local Pharmaceutical Committee being involved in the changes to the NHS. He now seeks to help ensure those changes work for the benefit of patients in Shropshire.

Vanessa Barrett

For over 40 years, Vanessa worked as a clinician and in senior management roles in many different NHS organisations, as well as with the Department of Health. She has a passion for improving the quality of care experienced by patients. Vanessa has lived in Bridgnorth since 1991.
