Born in Yorkshire, Sir George is a graduate and has a PhD from the University of Huddersfield and is former Chair, President and CEO of the multi-national 3M corporation, well-known as a world-leader in innovation... We are home to businesses from a range of sectors alongside our strategic partner, the Northern hub of the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) that provides metrology services.
