Katie Saylor - CMO

Katie Saylor is responsible for the strategic marketing mission of ACEDS, driving student and customer interest and retention through innovative and progressive marketing techniques. With more than 20 years of experience in marketing and advertising, she leverages expertise in digital and email marketing to ensure messaging is relevant and actionable. She has broad cross-industry knowledge in telecommunications, legal education, and consumer goods, including expertise in product development, multi-channel marketing strategies, budget administration, acquisitions and retentions, and large account development, as well as partner and brand promotions. Her success in both arenas enables her to help clients form and implement strategic plans that result in long-term company growth and customer retention. Katie graduated from the University of Kansas, with a degree in Marketing. She spends her spare time chasing after her three boys, indulging in long runs, and trying new recipes. Kevin Grisales

Kevin is the consummate client engagement manager responsible for engaging ACEDS' business partners and members to meet their training, certification and business needs. A hospitality industry veteran, Kevin has been with ACEDS since 2013, and has developed deep and long-term business relationships with law firms, corporate legal, and professional services and software providers throughout the legal community. He consults regularly with individuals and organizations on how to achieve professional growth and success through training and certification in e-discovery. A South Florida native, Kevin has a bachelor's degree in Business Management and International Business from Florida International University. He also has a Paralegal Certificate program at the University of Miami. Kevin is passionate about his family, work, and the arts. He is also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Maribel Rivera

As Vice President of Strategy and Client Engagement at ACEDS, Maribel is responsible for local chapter, membership, event management, and strategic partner engagement. A seasoned professional who has helped brands and businesses connect with their audiences and achieve their goals, her breadth of experience, strategic and creative abilities unlock innovation and bring business ideas to life. Prior to ACEDS, she consulted for a variety of private clients in technology, education, and recruiting, crafting and leading marketing and operations solutions for small and mid-sized companies. She also worked as director of sales operations for Fronteo USA Inc. An active member of Women in eDiscovery and ARMA Metro NYC, she also devotes time to charitable work. Michael Quartararo - President

As the president of ACEDS, Mike leads the organization and is responsible for the overall administrative and operational oversight of the organization, including program development, training and professional development, and strategic partnerships. Considered among the top legal technologists in the US, he has spent the last 20 years leveraging the power of technology to meet the current and emerging needs of organizations throughout the legal community. He is also the author of the 2016 book Project Management in Electronic Discovery and has been successfully consulting in information governance, e-discovery, project management and legal technology for all of his career, including 10-year stints at both Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. For much of his career Mike has been training and educating lawyers and other legal professionals in the benefits of technology to the legal profession. A graduate of the State University of New York, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS). He frequently speaks and writes on e-discovery, legal operations, project management and technology topics. Nyssa Beech

Nyssa is an invaluable resource to ACEDS members and business partners. Known for her positive, proactive style, strong organizational and editorial skills, Nyssa provides operational support across ACEDS. In addition, she administers the ACEDS Mentorship Program. Her writing and editorial expertise is evident in ACEDS training materials and association documentation. Prior to ACEDS, Nyssa was a customer service representative with BARBRI, ACEDS' parent company, working with students preparing for the bar exam. She is passionate about education and is committed to individual and global betterment. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with BA in English and BFA in Creative and Professional Writing from Bemidji State University. In her free time, she loves to travel and read, and is always up for a new adventure be it literal or literary.
