In 2010 Alta took on new owners and a new location moving to the Sofitel building. Our goal is to maintain the reputation that Alta had in the past as the top snow retailer in NZ and take that further while growing the summer market which has seen a real growth in mountainbiking in Queenstown... The staff are all passionate riders. Most have done a number of back to back winters and have so much knowledge and passion for the industry. Many of the winter staff do back to back winters with a few of them being instructors as well. If these guys (and girls) dont know something about snow product then its probably not worth knowing. We have a slightly different roster for summer with these guys loving mtb. Queenstown's turning (if not already turned) into the Southern Hemisphere's premium mtb destination with a Gondola assisted bike park, World Class Dirt Jump Park - Gorge Rd, epic back country missions and fast flowy trail networks...
