Aquistore is a commercial-scale project tied to real injection considerations - taking industrial CO 2 at variable and intermittent rates from SaskPower's Carbon Capture Facility at Boundary Dam near Estevan, Saskatchewan... Aquistore is an on-going CO 2 measurement, monitoring and verification project to demonstrate that storing carbon dioxide 3.4 km deep underground in a brine and sandstone water formation is a safe, workable solution to reduce greenhouse gases... The Petroleum Technology Research Centre (PTRC) is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1998 to facilitate research, development and demonstration projects to reduce the carbon footprint and increase the production of subsurface energy. PTRC seeks to support industry, governments and research providers to realize their environmental, social and governance needs.
