Dwight E. Baker

Experience After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Mr. Baker taught Chemistry at Blackfoot High School, until 1968 when he entered law school. After graduating from law school in 1971, Mr. Baker practiced in Caldwell, Idaho, with the firm of Brauner, Fuller & Doolittle, for a short time before accepting a position in Blackfoot with the firm of Furchner, Anderson and Martsch, occasioned by the nomination of the Honorable J. Blaine Anderson to the federal bench. Mr. Baker practiced in Blackfoot from 1971 until 1980, at which time he joined the law firm of St. Clair Hiller in Idaho Falls, with whom he was associated until 1988. He was then a partner in the firm McGrath & Baker, which subsequently joined the Boise firm of Imhoff & Lynch. In 1989 Mr. Baker returned to Blackfoot, where he has practiced since. He is now associated with Jared Harris and Jonathan Harris, his partners in the firm of Baker & Harris. Committees, Awards, and Activities Mr. Baker is admitted to practice with the State and Federal Courts in Idaho, and served on numerous committees for the Bar Association and Idaho Court system. He received the Idaho State Bar Professionalism Award in 1998. Mr. Baker has been engaged in an active litigation practice trying over twenty (20) cases to jury verdict, including criminal defense, plaintiffs' work primarily in the agricultural setting, and medical malpractice defense. He has been actively involved in Civil Mediation for several years and presently conducts an active Probate and Estate Planning practice. Mr. Baker has been actively involved in a number of civic and charitable activities. He served on the Bingham County Hospital Board for nine years, two as the chairman. He is has also served as President of the Idaho State Bar Commission and as President of the Industrial Development Corporation of Bingham County, Idaho.

Jonathan W. Harris

Jonathan W. Harris attended the University of Utah College of Law. While there Jonathan clerked for the Child Protection Division of the Utah Attorney General's Office and interned at the United States Attorney's Office in Salt Lake City. After graduation in 2000, Jonathan went to work for the Idaho Falls, Idaho law office of Quane Smith, where his practice focused on personal injury litigation and insurance disputes. Jonathan joined the Blackfoot, Idaho firm of Baker & Harris in April of 2004 as an associate attorney became a partner in 2008. Jonathan's practice includes: • Representing injured and disabled individuals in workers compensation, personal injury and insurance disputes. He has argued successfully to the Idaho Supreme Court on behalf of clients whose insurance company refused to compensate them.
