Previous to joining the Bark Team, Jo-Anne owned and managed a small business and post office for several years and worked in Accounting based roles in the private and government sector. Jo-Anne's growing experience in interior and furniture design balances her management of Bark's Quality Assurance, accounting, compliance, studio / team workflow, and publicity. Along with new business development opportunities, Jo-Anne manages Bark's web presence, branding and printed media. Often the first point of contact for client communication, Jo-Anne's knowledge of the architectural process and client requirements, supports the personal ‘client focussed' experience that Bark prides itself on.

Lindy is a founding director of Bark Design Architects and a registered architect in Queensland and New South Wales, with 27 years of professional experience. Lindy works personally with every client to develop a design to meet and exceed clients expectations. Lindy leads Bark with a wealth of international knowledge and experience after several years working in London, between 1989 - 1994. On returning to Australia in 1995, Lindy was project architect with James Grose and worked as part of the Bligh Voller Nield design team on the Sydney Olympic Stadium.
Lindy also gained valuable experience on coastal residential design projects in Queensland, working with Sunshine Coast architects Lindsay & Kerry Clare, Gabriel Poole and John Mainwaring as a freelance architect, before Bark was established in 1997. During the twenty years as a Director of Bark, Lindy has been focused on the creation and continual professional development of a design focused award winning and well regarded ‘regional' Australian Architectural practice. Lindy served as Queensland Chapter Councillor of Australian Institute of Architects 2012 - 2017, and with Stephen, was joint creative director of the 2016 AIA Qld Regional Architecture Conference - ‘evoke'.

Stephen is a founding director of Bark Design Architects with 24 years of professional architectural design and project management experience. Stephen was a founding member of the Australian Architecture Association and is a registered architect in Queensland and New South Wales. Stephen leads a strong team of experienced architectural graduates to create contemporary, site specific, climate responsive architecture.
Originally from the UK, Stephen studied in the USA, RMIT Melbourne and graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993. Prior to establishing Bark in 1997, Stephen worked in Noosa with John Mainwaring & Associates on many award winning Sunshine Coast projects. After winning a coastal Regional Art Gallery design competition for Caloundra City Council with Lindy Atkin, Bark was established and the design of Bark's Architectural design studio won the RAIA Queensland State Award for Commercial Architecture in 2005. With Lindy, Stephen has presented design talks at the University of Queensland, Bond University and State Library of Queensland, as well as Hyderabad, India and Reykjavík, Iceland.
