Amber has worked in the Human Resource field since 2004. Initially pursuing a degree in the medical skin care field, she quickly found her love of Human Resources while managing a small business in Sarasota, FL. That lead her to join a Professional Employment Organization (PEO) where she began learning about payroll, benefits, risk management and eventually HR. Prior to joining Absolute in December 2018, Amber was an Account Executive and provided HR consultation to businesses of all sizes and industries across the US. She's excited to bring her leadership to Absolute and assist in the growth and development of the team. Amber loves being creative and coming up with new innovative waits to engage with team members! Amber lives in sunny Florida with her husband - together they have three amazing kids and two very spoiled boxers!

Carrie was born and raised in Iowa however moved to Los Angeles, CA to receive her B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from a University in Los Angeles, California. Chris began his working life in pizza delivery where he worked for 12 years. He helped make, bake, and deliver over $1,000,000 in pizzas. Born in Argentia, Newfoundland of a Navy family, Deana spent most of her younger years traveling the eastern states. Deana attended the University of Memphis, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English and then continued her education at Christian Brothers University, where she obtained an accounting degree. Before working with Absolute Storage Management, Deana worked 23 years at a biotech firm. In her spare time, Deana enjoys hiking, reading, weaving, and playing bassoon.

Grace Totty is the Vice President of Marketing with Absolute Storage Management (ASM), responsible for leading the marketing team and vendors to maximize function and performance for Absolute's managed properties.
Grace has over ten years of storage experience starting in operations, working closely with ASM's founders. She is a frequent speaker at national trade shows and state shows, and currently sits on the TNSSA board. Grace holds a degree in Business Management from The University of Memphis in Business Management.
Right now, Grace fills up her weeks with volunteering and weekends experiencing new adventures.

Jasmin grew up in a small town: Jasper, Florida, where there are exactly three traffic lights! She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in business finance. Her hobbies include reading (50 Shades Trilogy is awesome!), watching HGTV, spending time with family and friends, and raising her dog, Chance, to be the best human he can be - which is clearly not working. After college she worked as a newspaper reporter for four years before becoming a general manager of a hotel. She has worked for ASM since 2007 and has loved every minute of it. She lives in Athens, GA with her two awesome kids, but is not a "Dawg" fan. In fact, she's known to leave the room when the sports-talk begins. She still has two baby teeth which has to make her a part of some elite club.

Prior to forming ASM, Matt accumulated five years of experience in the self storage industry and has held a variety of positions, enabling him to amass extensive knowledge of the industry. Starting off as an assistant property manager with a national self storage company, Matt rapidly advanced into management, holding a district manager position for two years, where he supervised 15 self storage properties. Serving as a financial analyst for the next year, he was able to hone his analytical skills before moving on to a highly visible position as Manager of Contact Center Operations, where he supervised a staff of 30. Matt holds a BS in management from Southern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Memphis. He is currently pursuing the CCIM designation. Matt is primarily responsible for property management, marketing, and operations.

Michael Haugh is the co-founder of Absolute Storage Management and current Investment Officer of Absolute Storage Investment and has been in the storage industry since 1993. Michael's primary responsibilities include corporate strategy and leading ASM's acquisition and development activities. Under Michael's direction, ASM has developed and acquired over $75MM in properties across six states. Prior to forming ASM in 2002, Michael was a senior executive with Storage USA, the second largest storage REIT at that time. Michael began his self-storage career at Storage USA working as a college intern at the property level. After graduating college, he spent three years as a property manager and district manager, learning the business from the ground up. Thereafter, Michael took on a variety of responsibilities to complement his operations experience, including: working with the company's CFO on joint ventures and equity financing, as well as working with Storage USA's CEO, investing in new development projects and acquiring existing properties.
Michael holds a BA in Economics from the University of Connecticut, an MBA from the University of Memphis, and holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designations. Michael is a member and active participant in the Memphis chapter of Vistage, and executive leadership and best practices group. He is also active in a number of state and the national storage associations.

Rachel is from Annapolis, MD; she graduated from Towson University (in Baltimore, MD) in 2016, where she obtained her B.S. in Accounting. She was an accounting intern for ASM for 2 summers while in college, but is now working in the Acquisitions department. After work she likes to unwind with a nice glass of Merlot and a jigsaw puzzle. On her off days, Rachel likes to go to Shelby Farms Park with her dog Tucker - named after the Baltimore Raven's kicker: Justin Tucker. Rachel has hiked part of the Appalachian Trail and to hike the entire trail, Georgia to Maine, is on her bucket list.

Scott Beatty is the CEO of Absolute Storage Management (ASM) and has over 22 years of self-storage industry experience. Scott has spent the past 17 years working alongside Michael Haugh and Matt Bailey and an incredible team to grow ASM to over 140 locations in 16 states.
Prior to joining ASM in 2003, Scott spent eight years in financial operations and forecasting/budgeting, including four years as a financial executive at Storage USA. His experience includes the development of single-year property budgets along with long-range strategic and financial plans for large scale companies. During his self-storage career with Storage USA, Scott oversaw and managed the annual budgeting and forecasting responsibilities for over 400 properties, along with the creation, generation, and analysis of monthly property financial reports.
Scott holds a BS in finance from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. Scott is actively involved with the University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business as a mentor in its Memphis Institute for Leadership Education (MILE) program which annually pairs up business executives with elite undergraduates for mentoring and leadership opportunities.

I'm coordinated and athletic, but I struggle to catch fish, even in a stocked lake or stream
I lost a bet and had to shave my head, I've kept it that way ever since
I've completed 2-dozen half-marathons over the past 8 years.
Shane is based out of northern Mississippi where he lives with his wife and two children. He holds a degree in Marketing and Business Management and placed third in the state at DECA's '07 Career Development Conference in the Entrepreneur category. After college, Shane managed an Edible Arrangements for some years and brought it to being ranked number one in the country for holiday sales before switching careers to storage. Starting as an assistant manager for ASM in 2014, Shane's ambition to grow within the company has not wavered once.
Shane fills his spare time with restoring his Chevy Nova, planning new business ventures, and preparing for the apocalypse. Shane has a never-ending list of hobbies including brewing wine, soap making, camping, raising rabbits, and archery, and an even longer list of experiences ranging from being in marching band to boy scouts to traveling the country to owning a bar. He has lived a very fulfilling life, leaving just one item left on his bucket list, to skydive.

Shannon is a repeat offender and came back to Absolute Storage Management in June 2018 after her previous 2-year stint from 2012 to 2014. She left in 2014 for her love of animals and after serving a key role in the growth and subsequent sale of a large and multi-location veterinary specialty and ER hospital, she was lucky to have the opportunity to rejoin ASM's cast of characters.
Her work experience includes; municipal grant accounting, internal auditing, TPA for 401(k) plans and the management of a yoga studio during her 7-years as a Bikram yoga instructor.
Shannon graduated Summa Cum Laude and with the President's Medal for Excellence with a BBA in Accounting from Midwestern State University (Wichita Falls, TX). She is also a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.
Originally from San Diego, CA, Shannon is a lover of the beach and anything outside. She enjoys going to concerts, working out with her hubby and cooking for and entertaining friends while chillaxing by the pool.

Susan joined the ASM team in May of 2019. She is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Management. She continued her education at the University of Memphis in Accounting and then passed the CPA exam. Susan's professional career began with Exxon Company U.S.A. as an auditor. After seven years she took a hiatus to raise two wonderful children with her husband, David. Upon returning to the workforce, Susan joined a Memphis CPA firm. After two years of public accounting, Susan spent the next eleven years with an Agricultural Loan company.
Susan loves ringing in her church's handbell choir, her book club and doing Ken-Ken puzzles. Her favorite place to vacation is northern Michigan.
