BAY VILLAGE

Established in 1975, Bay Village was founded by Dr. Arnold Poole, a local pastor at the Pine Shores Presbyterian Church. An astute and compassionate leader, he developed relationships with many of its members and recognized a similar pattern: the elderly members were leaving the area. This troubled the pastor and prompted him to consider the development of a new community, a village in the bay, to create community among seniors and prevent them from having to move away.
