Caroline Mwendwa

Caroline holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies (Development Communication) and Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature. Prior to joining BvAT, she worked as the Editor of Management Magazine at the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and adjunct lecturer at Multimedia University in 2018. She also worked as the Editor/ Writer for the Biashara Leo Magazine with Asante Media; Editorial Consultant with Micro- Enterprises Support Programme Trust and The East African Educational Publishers. Before then she served as an Editorial Assistant with Longhorn Publishers Ltd Kenya. At BvAT, Caroline is tasked with developing schedules for each TOF Magazine issue and soliciting, writing and managing contributions of articles. She is also responsible for quality management of the content and design of the magazine by consulting with the parties and contributors involved

Faith Maiyo is an agronomist with a bachelor's degree in Agronomy with IT from Maseno University. As part of the Biovision Africa Trust team, Faith is the digitalization officer in charge of the BvAT-FiBL Digitalization project that works to digitize content and avail it to farmers in accessible, easy to understand digital formats. She has experience working with rural communities where she trains farmers. She has proficiency in content digitization, social media marketing for agricultural development, content creation, data collection in research, report writing and farmer trainings on digital tools.

Mr. Alex Mutungi is the coordinator of the African Union (AU)Ecological Organic Agriculture (EOA) Initiative Africa Secretariat which is hosted at Biovision Africa Trust(BvAT). The EOA Initiative is a continental undertaking currently being implemented in nine countries (Benin, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda) under the guidance and oversight of the AU chaired Continental Steering Committee (CSC).

Mr. Fredrick Ochieng

Fredrick Ochieng is the Coordinator of the Farmer Communication Programme. He is a seasoned professional with over 16 years of experience in programme leadership and management in the fields of agriculture, climate change, disaster risk reduction, WASH, and health. Fredrick has proven competencies in organizational resource development, fund-raising, donor relations, strategic management, participatory processes, personnel management, projects monitoring and evaluation. Prior to joining Biovision Africa Trust, Fredrick was a Senior Manager with Caritas Switzerland, Kenya Programme. He oversaw successful implementation of flagship projects contributing to remarkable impact among the farming and livestock keeping communities. Earlier, Fredrick also worked with Food for the Hungry, Anglican Development Services and Fellowship of Christian Unions (FOCUS) Kenya. On a special assignment Fredrick made significant contribution during the 2016/2017 documentation of sustainable land management (SLM) best practices in Kenya and Uganda under the World Overview on Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT) platform. Fredrick holds a Masters Degree in Development Studies (St. Paul's University, Limuru), BSc. in Agriculture (University of Nairobi), and a Postgraduate Certificate (University of Manchester). Fredrick's greatest passion lies in serving communities and being part of change processes that lead to social and economic empowerment of the disadvantaged.

Madam Anne Onyango is a Development Practitioner with 39+ years of experience working for the Government of Kenya in the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Irrigation. Armed with impeccable communication and writing skills, her aim is to rally her exposure, technical competencies and capabilities to enhance the practice of sustainable Agriculture in Kenya and beyond. She is a former Agriculture Secretary, State Department for Crops Development where she was responsible for 5 Directorates and 16 Projects in the State Department, Kenya School of Agriculture, crop resources and market development, Agriculture Information Resource Center, Policy and External Relations, Projects Coordination Unit and was also the Director of Agriculture, Policy Research and Regulations where she Coordinates formulations, Implementation of Policies, Strategies and Legislation and Coordinate Multilateral, Bilateral Relations.

Njeri Kinuthia is a project officer for the Outreach project under the FCP. Njeri has a wide experience in Agricultural extension accrued from working with different communities in East Africa. As an agricultural extension officer, she has trained small scale farmers on sustainable farming practices. Before joining Biovision, she worked with the Ministry of Agriculture and farmer organizations in Kenya. Most of her work at BvAT involves training small scale farmers on good practices in agriculture as well as sourcing out for like mind partners to work with the program. She is also involved in ensuring effective and timely submission of monthly field reports from the field staff.
