Julie Bonacio, along with her husband Sonny, began their careers over 25 years ago in Saratoga Springs, NY. What started as a small, local business with just a handful of employees has expanded into one of the Capital District's most successful contracting and building companies. Bonacio Construction, Inc. has changed the skyline of Saratoga, helping transform the area from a quiet town into a vibrant city.
It was a natural step for Julie to become a realtor in 2000. She quickly brought the same success to real estate as she has to the construction business. In November 2015, drawing on a decade and a half of experience and expertise in both fields, Julie established her own real estate brokerage. Julie & Co. Realty is an intimate, boutique brokerage with far-reaching capabilities. Specialties include residential resale, new construction, and commercial and residential leasing. Exceptional client service and attention to detail are the hallmarks of the rapidly growing brokerage with an emphasis on extraordinary when it comes to marketing its properties. Since it began, Julie & Co. Realty has expanded to 32 agents and 2 locations, the first in Saratoga Springs and the second in Schroon Lake. Julie continues to be at the helm of the business in both leadership and production. Her real estate career has culminated in over $370 million in sales and Julie & Co. Realty has repeatedly been ranked in the Top 15 Residential Real Estate Firms in The List from the Albany Business Review.
Finding great success in her career, Julie has previously been named Saratoga Business Journal's Top Ten Women in Business, one of Saratoga Today's Women of Influence, she was consecutively named Top Agent of the Year at her former firm, and was a recipient of Albany Business Review's 40 Under 40 Award.
Though Julie's professional life takes her all over the Capital Region, her charitable work brings her back to her roots in Saratoga Springs. Born and raised in the "Spa City," she currently lives there with her husband, Sonny, and their three children - Gianna, Will, and Luca. Julie has served on the Saratoga Care Foundation Board and the Flower and Fruit Mission through Saratoga Hospital. She has played a vital role in the fundraising successes of many local charities including the Saratoga Hospital Foundation, Saratoga Sponsor-A-Scholar, Saratoga Bridges, the National Museum of Dance, Universal Preservation Hall, Electric City Couture, and Equine Advocates, for which she won an award for her dedication and work on its annual awards.

A lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs, Sonny graduated from Saratoga Springs High School, earned his college degree in Construction Management, and started Bonacio Construction, Inc. in 1988. After 35 successful years, Sonny has grown Bonacio Construction and fellow companies, Bonacio Development and Bonacio Management, to become leaders in improving the architectural and economic landscape of the Northeast.
With Sonny's leadership, Bonacio has developed over 2.8 million square feet of real estate in downtown Saratoga Springs and established the condominium and downtown apartment markets while perfecting mixed-use development. Sonny has pioneered the return of a downtown movie theater with the arrival of Bow Tie Criterion Cinemas, as well as restoring elements of history with The Washington, the former site of the Masonic Temple in the center of Broadway. Projects in downtown Troy have been a success, and Bonacio Construction's presence has been part of a resurgence that the area has not experienced in decades. Glens Falls and Rome, NY, have been added to the list of cities being revitalized by Bonacio Construction projects.
Sonny runs Bonacio Construction with precision and integrity, earning the trust and respect of his colleagues, clients, and competitors. He has held numerous influential positions and has received well-deserved accolades and awards.

A lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs, Tony graduated from Saratoga Springs High School, earned his college degree in Landscape Development, and joined forces with his brother, Sonny, forming a landscape design and installation division within Bonacio Construction. After ten successful years, the brothers decided to outsource the company's landscape needs so that Tony could fully commit his energies to the management needs of the growing construction company.
Tony has guided Bonacio Construction's field activities on many of the largest and most prominent projects the company has undertaken, including in Rome with Air City Lofts, in Glens Falls with 14 Hudson Avenue, and in Saratoga with the Van Dam Condominiums, Universal Preservation Hall, Saratoga Market Center, Bow Tie Criterion Cinemas, Park Place Condominiums, and The Washington.
Tony's primary focus as Bonacio's Vice President is on the day-to-day operations and working with the Bonacio Construction project management team to deliver successful projects to its clients. He also specializes in training and mentoring the younger members of our team.
