Brent Deibert, M.D. is a fellowship-trained surgical retina specialist, focusing on surgical and medical treatments for disease of the macula, retina, and the vitreous​.
Brian E. Nichols, MD, PhD, joined Boulder Eye Surgeons as an Ophthalmologist in 2000. He completed his undergraduate degree with the highest distinction at the University of Iowa. He went on to medical school at the University of Iowa, where he graduated with an M.D. and also received a Ph.D. from the graduate college in genetics. Following medical school, Dr. Nichols completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Iowa. He completed his formal training with a three-year Ophthalmology residency at the University of Iowa. After his residency, he completed a fellowship in Pediatric Opthalmology at the University of Iowa. A Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Dr. Nichols has specialties in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus along with cataract surgery. He has published multiple articles on genetics in relation to diseases of the eye. He also holds a patent for a device and process for Staining Electrophoretic Gels.
M. Davina Kirschenbaum, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist, and is cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery fellowship-trained. She joined Boulder Eye Surgeons in 2023 to perform cataract, cornea, and refractive surgeries including PRK, LASIK, and EVO ICL.
Dr. Kirschenbaum knew that she was passionate about medicine from a young age, and she set out to achieve her goals by attending the prestigious Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, an abbreviated B.S./M.D. program where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in biomedical education. She completed her final years of medical school at the New York Medical College, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Kirschenbaum completed her internship at Presbyterian- St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver, CO before moving to Washington, DC to complete her ophthalmology residency at the esteemed Georgetown University Hospital. During her residency, she worked with diverse patient populations and won several research grants and awards for her research on complex corneal disease. She completed a cornea, refractive, and external disease fellowship at the John A. Moran Eye Center, one of the top eye hospitals in the world.
When Dr. Kirschenbaum isn't seeing patients, she enjoys spending time in the mountains while hiking, camping, skiing, and snowboarding. She also loves to spend time with her husband and their two dogs.

Donald Keller, MD, founded Boulder Eye Surgeons and began practicing in Boulder in 1997. He completed his undergraduate training at Creighton University with a degree in Chemistry. He went on to medical school at the University of Nebraska, where he graduated with research honors and was elected into the medical honors fraternity, Alpha Omega Alpha. Following medical school, Dr. Keller completed an internal medicine internship at Creighton University. He completed his formal training with a three-year Ophthalmology residency at the University of Nebraska, where he served as chief resident during his third year. A Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Dr. Keller has trained locally and internationally in the areas of cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Keller was one of the first surgeons in Colorado to perform Lasik refractive surgery. In addition to Lasik, Dr. Keller was the first surgeon in the Denver/Boulder area performing the FDA approved Crystalens cataract procedure and the first in the Boulder area to offer ECP, a laser treatment for glaucoma.

Kevin Cuevas, MD, joined Boulder Eye Surgeons as a Cornea Specialist in 2017.
Dr. Cuevas earned his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology/Chemistry from San Diego State University and his Medical Degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas with extensive ocular trauma experience at Parkland Memorial Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at the University of Iowa. Dr. Cuevas has published and presented research in the areas of corneal wound healing, refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and intraocular lens technology. Dr. Cuevas is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Castroviejo Cornea Society.
Dr. Cuevas is the former Founder and Medical Director of Rocky Mountain Ophthalmology in Denver, Colorado, a leading cataract and refractive surgery practice serving the greater Denver Metro for 15 years.
Dr. Cuevas is the Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of ClearSight, a novel intraocular lens start-up company focused on the development of advanced intraocular lens (IOL) technology. He holds numerous patents related to IOL design and inhibition of cellular migration following cataract surgery. ClearSight has received a high level of funding through the National Institute of Health.
Dr. Cuevas' clinical interests include laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens technology, LASIK/PRK, and surgical and medical management of cornea and external disease.
Dr. Cuevas is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys flyfishing, fly tying, traditional bowhunting, scuba diving, golf, beekeeping and traveling with his lovely wife Kendall.
