Dr. Menachem D. Roth

Dr. Roth graduated from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine with a residency in Orthodontics and a Master of Medical Science in Oral Biology. Prior to his Master's and residency, Dr. Roth earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He was recognized throughout his educational career for his outstanding academic performance and has taken part in advanced research related to facial growth, cleft palate issues and perception of facial aesthetics. Dr. Roth is a member of many premier orthodontic associations including the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). He attends many continuing education conferences in order to insure that our patients are always on the cutting-edge of orthodontic treatment. Like Dr. Carvalho, Dr. Roth is committed to offering the latest technologies in orthodontic treatment in order to maximize patients comfort, convenience and achieve great results. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Roth met his wife, Itia, an attorney, at summer camp when they were 12 years old. They have three children, Emma, Joshua and Leeba, and they live in Newton Centre. Dr. Roth enjoys cooking, hockey and is an avid mountain biker.

Dr. Roberto S. Carvalho

Dr. Carvalho graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine with a residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in conjunction with post-doctoral training in Orthopedics at the Children's Hospital in Boston. In addition, Dr. Carvalho has a Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Growth and Development and a PhD degree in Oral Biology, both from the University of Manitoba in Canada and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University. Throughout his career, Dr. Carvalho has been involved in academia and has dedicated time to research and teaching. He has published in many peer-reviewed scientific journals and lectured in North America, Europe and South America, receiving several awards. In particular, Dr. Carvalho is the recipient of the Milo Hellman Award, one of the most prestigious awards given by the American Association of Orthodontists and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and the Coenraad F.A. Moorrees Award given by the Harvard Society for Advancement of Orthodontics. Dr. Carvalho has been an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. For many years while conducting biomedical research, Dr. Carvalho had an appointment as Assistant Research Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the School of Medicine, also at Boston University. Dr. Carvalho and his wife, Elsa, have three young children, twins Felipe and Isabela, and Flavia. Dr. Carvalho has a solid character, is warm and caring and relates well to people of all ages. He is also fluent in Portuguese and has a commanding knowledge of French and Spanish. Together with his family, he likes a variety of activities such as traveling, skiing, cycling, reading, but most of all Dr. Carvalho enjoys spending time with his wife and kids.
