184 LAKE DRIVE, PALM BEACH SHORES, FL 33404
In the 1920s, the island where Palm Beach Shores exists was completely separated from mainland Palm Beach. It wasn't until the famed Singer Sewing Machine family proposed an ultra-luxury hotel on the island that the county decided to build a bridge across the Intracoastal Waterway. Singer Island, as it is now known, continues to be home to some of the world's top luxury resort and condominium lifestyle experiences, and yet, Palm Beach Shores remains distinctly separate. It was incorporated as its own town in the 1940s, on a hand-selected section at the southernmost edge of the island, with sapphire blue waters on three sides. Today, it is still one of the most sought-after addresses on the entire Atlantic seaboard.
