Resources for all those called to leadership who understand the power of words and stories to shape their futures from one of the nation's preeminent narrative coaches, Christine Cavanaugh-Simmons of CCS Consulting Inc. Christine Cavanaugh-Simmons has held various senior management positions such as regional vice president for a retail chain, general manager for a West Coast-based consultancy, western regional vice president of an East Coast-based national training and consulting firm, as well as managing partner and president of three small businesses. In her former roles, Cavanaugh-Simmons has had the opportunity to work for a wide variety of companies in the retail, financial services, and high tech industries on leadership development and culture building efforts. A sample of these clients are: Microsoft, AT&T., Bank of America, Levi Strauss, Shearson, IBM, Motorola, Prudential Securities, Texas Instruments, Nordstrom, Pacific Bell/SBC, First Union Bank, Williams-Sonoma, Adobe Systems, Apple, AOL, VeriSign, Raytheon, Intuit, Sandia National Laboratories, Yahoo!, and Genentech. Cavanaugh-Simmons has worked on organizational transformation efforts over the years with Bank of America, Pacific Bell/SBC, Telus of Canada, Cardinal Health and Tencor/KLA. Current clients are: Oracle Corporation, Applied Materials, Kaiser Permanente, Salesforce.com, SAP, Q-Cells, El Camino Hospital, Shell Canada, University of Alberta, Haas Business School, Brown-Forman and Symantec. Cavanaugh-Simmons has coached all levels of leadership with emphasis on executives in the US and Europe and has designed numerous action learning executive development programs. She is based in Monterey County, California, and she has worked internationally for more than 15 years. Cavanaugh-Simmons graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Francisco State University with a degree in psychiatric social work and subsequently worked as a therapeutic professional in Community Mental Health/SF General Hospital and at USF's Children's Psychiatric Ward during the mid-to-late 70's.
