Courtney C. Wright

Courtney C. Wright, PA-C is a Physician Assistant for Lee M. Nicols, MD, FACS, at Central Surgical Associates. Courtney and Dr. Nicols work closely together to provide quality surgical care. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Millsaps College. She earned a Master of Medical Science from Mississippi College and then completed her Master of Science in Medicine from the Mississippi College Physician Assistant program in 2013. She is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Mississippi Academy of Physician Assistants. Courtney has a particular interest in wound care and works in the Baptist Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic. She also has an interest in women's health and along with Dr. Nicols works to provide treatment options for fecal incontinence. She serves as a preceptor for the Physician Assistant students and is a guest lecturer for the Mississippi College Physician Assistant program. Courtney received the Alumnus of the Year 2017 and the Preceptor of the Year 2017 from the Mississippi College P.A. Program. Courtney was inducted into Pi Alpha National Honor Society in 2018. She is very involved in the Junior League of Jackson and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. "I enjoy surgery and wound care because it is hands on, always offering unique challenges, and leads to rewarding experiences. As a Physician Assistant, I am able to participate in the technical aspects of surgery and provide compassionate care encompassing a team approach."

Dr. James R. Rooks

Dr. James R. Rooks is a Jackson native. In his free time, he enjoys life with his wife and four children, fishing, cycling and being active in his church and the Knights of Columbus.

Heather G. Morris

Heather G. Morris, PA-C is a Physician Assistant for Lee M. Nicols, MD, FACS. She and Dr. Nicols coordinate their efforts to provide personalized, evidence-based, quality, surgical care for their patients. Heather's emphasis is providing specialty surgical care in Copiah County. Heather is a native Mississippian. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2013 from Mississippi College and a Master of Science in Medicine in 2015 from Mississippi College Physician Assistant program. She is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Mississippi Academy of Physician Assistants. Heather is an active member of Siwell Road Church of Christ. She participates in healthcare events across the state which promote a healthier community. Heather is honored to be able to treat patients in Copiah County and surrounding areas!

Tammy S. Davis

Tammy S. Davis, PA-C is a Physician Assistant for Matthew Jones, MD, FACS at Central Surgical Associates. She works closely with Dr. Jones in the clinic, inpatient setting, and operating room to provide quality, personal patient care. She also works in the Baptist Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic. She received her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from University of Southern Mississippi. She earned her Master of Science in Medicine from Mississippi College Physician Assistant program in 2015. She is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Mississippi Academy of Physician Assistants, and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. She enjoys medical relief work in Haiti. "I have had a passion for medicine and people as long as I can remember. I feel it is important not only to treat the disease or condition but the person. Sickness affects not only the patient but also the family and loved ones. I am privileged to work with a surgeon who shares my same position.
