CASTLE ACRE HOLIDAY COTTAGE

Norfolk is always thought of as flat, but the lovely Heritage Village of Castle Acre is flanked by the hilltop ruined Norman Castle and the remains of the 1000 year old Priory, a gentle sweep down into the Nar Valley... Our cottage stands at the peaceful edge of the village with wonderful views of the open countryside, the river and the Priory to the front and behind is the 14th Century St James Church. Castle Acre village is lucky to sustain a pub with great food, tea rooms and shops, and just a short walk through the churchyard from our holiday cottage... The kitchen has butler's sink, fridge/freezer, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher and a dresser. Just outside is the original stone wash-house which has a washing machine and dryer.
