Anika Warren Wood

Anika is a member of DRK's Operating Committee, a leadership team that sets priorities, manages organizational culture, and develops strategies for the Foundation. Anika is responsible for driving organizational effectiveness to maximize impact on DRK's portfolio and optimize team performance, productivity and culture. She also provides principal support for talent recruitment and development. Together with DRK colleagues, Anika developed and sustains board sourcing, executive coaching, leadership and organizational assessments, and strategic engagement programs for portfolio organizations, donor partners and talent, identifies organizational effectiveness opportunities, implements proven best practices, and supports strategic directions of portfolio organizations. Anika currently serves on the board of DRK grantees FreeFrom, Labhya Foundation, Lessonbee, REACH Institute, Teaching Lab, and Worth Rises. She previously served on the board of DRK grantee The Common Market. Before joining Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, Anika was Founding President and CEO of the Warren Group LLC (established in 2011), providing strategic consulting, executive coaching, career counseling, and psychological services to corporations, universities, nonprofits, and individuals domestically and internationally. From 2013 through 2017, Dr. Warren served as Senior Associate Vice President of Foundation and Corporate Relations in the Office of Institutional Advancement at Drexel University. In that position, she led Drexel's philanthropic fundraising and strategic engagement with foundations and corporations - co-raising nearly $100 million for FCR and over $400 million for OIA by working closely with Drexel's president, senior leaders, deans and other academic administrators, faculty, executive directors of centers and research institutions, and external stakeholders. Prior to working at Drexel, Anika functioned as a Senior Director of Research and Global Member Services at Catalyst Inc., the leading global non-profit organization focused on gender diversity and workplace inclusion. During her nearly eight years at Catalyst, she was responsible for leading path-breaking research and consulting projects in diversity and inclusion, healthcare, academic medicine, women of color in law, global talent management, and strategic career development in North America, Europe, and Asia. She served as graduate-level faculty in the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University for six years. As a mental health professional, Dr. Warren has worked with hundreds of patients with a broad range of issues and diagnoses. Her investment banking, finance, and for-profit business experience includes positions with Charles Schwab and Gap, Inc., and strategic consulting to senior executives at hedge funds, private equity firms, and multinational corporations including but not limited to Baxter, McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, UBS, PepsiCo, Verizon, Citi, JPMorgan, and Moody's. Anika has published book chapters, articles, and clinical training videos and served as a board member for non-profits. External to DRK, Anika currently serves on the board of Richard Allen Preparatory Charter School in Philadelphia, PA and as an expert panelist and reviewer of corporate for Healthcare Business Women's Association's (HBA) annual Award. HBA is a global nonprofit organization committed to the advance and impact women in the business of healthcare. Anika has a B.B.A. in Finance from Howard University; an M.A. and an M.Ed. in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University, specializing in organizational, school, and multicultural psychology; and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Boston College.

Ashley Bloomer

Before joining DRK, Ashley was a Portfolio Manager at Stand Together, driving stewardship and moves management strategies for major gifts fundraisers on the development capability. Prior to that, Ashley held roles focused on project management for organizational operations at the Charles Koch Foundation where she was responsible for the measurement and assessment process across the organization and support of the post-secondary education priority initiative. She also has event project management experience focused on prepping executives and speakers for their responsibilities at each event and coordinating with vendors producing video content for each fundraising event. Ashley received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Kansas State University and received her Level 2 certification through the Wine & Spirits Education Trust.

Ashley Plaga

Ashley Plaga manages the DRK website, social media, online application, event planning, and portfolio support projects. Ashley brings experience in the nonprofit and academic research worlds and adds her 20 years of nonprofit experience to support DRK's mission to drive positive social change. Before joining DRK in 2015, Ashley was the Communications Manager at Seattle Foundation where she increased educational and economic opportunities for low-skilled and low-income adults in Washington State via their SkillUp WA program. Before that, she supported the Dialysis Center of Lincoln, comprised of five nonprofit healthcare organizations, serving as the Events Planner. Ashley earned her Master of Public Administration from Seattle University and her Bachelor's Degree in Communications from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Cheyenne Kooijman

Cheyenne Kooijman works with the DRK team to expand DRK's European sourcing efforts and manages the strategic development of DRK's brand in Europe. Before joining DRK, Cheyenne was the department head of the Marketing & Communications Department at Erasmus School of Law (Erasmus University Rotterdam). She led a team of fourteen people and was the communications advisor for the management board with an emphasis on brand management. Cheyenne received her LL.B. from Erasmus University Rotterdam, including an exchange to the University of New South Wales, Australia, specializing in human rights, migration, and international criminal law. She received her LL.M. in Constitutional & Administrative Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam, during which she was the chair of the Rotterdam delegation at the national parliamentary debate.

Craig is an investor in GIBLIB, a SaaS video platform for surgeon education; an investor in Propel, a software company helping low-income Americans improve their financial health; and several other early-stage companies. In addition to early-stage investing, he has founded and been a part of management teams with several startups. Craig was a Founder and CEO of QuickFire Networks, a provider of SaaS solutions for computing and video processing which was acquired by Facebook, Inc. (now Meta Platforms) in 2015. In addition, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Nocimed, Inc. (now Aclarion, Inc.) where he introduced the company's enhanced MRI diagnostic to the US market under the FDA 21st Century Cures Act. Craig is an Advisor to Tangible AI, a software developer bringing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to social sector organizations to scale impact, increase outreach, and improve operations. Danielle Dhillon

Danielle works with the DRK team to identify and support innovative social entrepreneurs. Danielle recently spent time at the United Nations Foundation on the Digital Impact Alliance team leading the development of a new program on innovative financing and procurement mechanisms for digital goods. As an inaugural team member, Danielle led research projects and advocacy campaigns to scale the use of digital data and mobile distribution channels by the international development sector with a primary focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. She previously served as an analyst at J.P. Morgan where she provided investment, banking, and philanthropic advice to ultra-high net worth families and foundations. Most recently, she worked as an MBA Associate at the Rockefeller Foundation and MCE Social Capital, focusing on strategy, due diligence, and impact measurement & evaluation.

Dr. Oliver Rothschild - Managing Director

Trained as a medical doctor, Oliver has served as a leader, entrepreneur, and strategist in the healthcare and education spaces. Oliver came to DRK from Gates Ventures, the private office of Mr. Bill Gates, where he served as Director of Health and Life Sciences. In this role, he built a new team to shape strategy and investments for Mr. Gates and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and advise donors and governments on health policy. Prior to Gates Ventures, he held a range of leadership roles in the health sector, working as Deputy Director of Partners in Health-Rwanda under Dr. Paul Farmer, and leading analytics for the launch of Rwanda's first national pediatric HIV program with the Clinton Health Access Initiative. Domestically he served pharmaceutical and hospital clients as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and led a set of health reform initiatives as Chief of Staff for the State of Massachusetts's $13 Billion Medicaid program. In the education space, he co-founded a number of innovative organizations across Africa, including Kepler University, Spire Education (acquired in 2017), and Nova Pioneer K-12 Schools, collectively serving thousands of students. He also served as an advisor to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation helping to shape their first global education strategy. Oliver earned his BA in Computer Science from the University of Chicago and his MD from the Yale School of Medicine.

Elizabeth Berry Gips

As a Venture Partner, Liz helps to source new investments and to support the Foundation's portfolio organizations in Africa, Europe, and India. She supports the leadership of portfolio organizations as they grow and build the capacity to achieve their maximum impact. Liz currently serves on the board of DRK grantees Fundi Bots and SmartStart. Liz has three decades of experience in education and leadership development. She has served as a leader, entrepreneur, and strategist for a variety of organizations in the non-profit, academic, and public sectors. Most recently, Liz served as the founding Executive Director of the Kigutu International Academy (KIA), a transformative secondary school developing a new generation of entrepreneurial leaders in Burundi. Liz led the planning, launch, and initial operations of KIA. KIA is an integral part of Village Health Works, a Burundi-based non-profit where Liz also served as the Chief Strategy Officer. Liz has also served in senior roles for the African Leadership University and African Leadership Academy (ALA), two institutions that have pioneered the development of ethical and entrepreneurial leaders. Currently, Liz is a Trustee of the African Leadership Academy in South Africa and is Board Chair of the African Leadership Foundation, ALA's US-based 501c3. Earlier, Liz worked at the Mastercard Foundation, assisting with the development of their education strategy for sub-Saharan Africa and with the design and implementation of a major education initiative in Rwanda. Liz also served in leadership roles for USAID. She was the USAID Coordinator for the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), a legacy initiative of the Obama administration. She was also a Senior Education Advisor to USAID in South Africa, working in partnership with the Department of Basic Education and other funders to identify and scale innovative approaches to teacher development. Earlier, as the Executive Director of Global Education Fund, Liz led the establishment of community-based education programs in Kenya and beyond. Liz currently serves on several advisory boards, including Girl Rising-Global Education Fund and the School of Leadership Afghanistan. Liz is a member of the President's Council on International Activities at Yale University and the Council of Global Advisors at the Yale School of Management. Emily Edwards

Emily dedicated the first two decades of her career to Summer Search, a national youth development organization that envisions a world where young people can fulfill their potential and lead families and communities to thrive. Emily's interest in working at Summer Search was sparked by her experience attending Central, a Philadelphia public high school, where she watched her classmates break through barriers of poverty, access, and racism to graduate and go onto college. Emily graduated with a BA in African American Studies with a concentration in Sociology from Wesleyan University.

Holly Kuzmich - Managing Director

As a Managing Director of the Foundation, Holly Kuzmich plays a lead role in sourcing new investments and working with the leadership of those organizations as an operating partner and board member as they grow to build capacity and to achieve their maximum impact. As a member of the Foundation's senior leadership team, based in Dallas, Texas, Holly plays a lead role in increasing the Foundation's presence, portfolio investments and donor partnerships in Texas and the Southwest region. Holly has 25 years of public policy and leadership experience, serving in senior positions in the government, non-profit, and private sectors. At the Bush Institute, a solution-oriented nonpartisan policy organization focused on ensuring opportunity for all, strengthening democracy, and advancing free societies, Holly led the team in developing and implementing major policy and programmatic initiatives on key issues of national and global importance. She oversaw the organization's strategy on leadership development, with four leadership programs graduating over 1,000 alumni to date from around the world. Domestically, she led their efforts to push for comprehensive immigration reform and developed key alliances and partnerships in support of that effort. Globally, she shepherded the Bush Institute's public-private partnership on global health that scaled up screening and treatment for cervical cancer for millions of women in sub-Saharan Africa. She is a veteran of the White House, U.S. Department of Education, and Capitol Hill, where she developed her expertise in education policy. She served on the staff of the White House Domestic Policy Council and then as Deputy Chief of Staff and Assistant Secretary for Legislation and Congressional Affairs at the U.S. Department of Education. Prior to that, she worked for two United States Senators on domestic policy issues. She has also consulted on education and workforce issues with major foundations, companies, non-profits, and policymakers. Holly also served as a Resident Fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School, is a Pahara-Aspen Institute Fellow, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. She serves on the boards of the Gates Policy Initiative, the Institute for Citizens & Scholars, and the Dallas Assembly. Jeremy Heimans

Jeremy Heimans is an inaugural member of DRK's Strategic Advisory Board to provide critical insights and expertise on the challenges facing our global society today, and to help the DRK board and the senior management team align its efforts to support our portfolio entrepreneurs as they tackle some of the world's most complex problems. Jeremy Heimans is the co-founder and CEO of Purpose, a global organization headquartered in New York that builds and supports movements for a more open, just, and habitable world. Purpose has advised organizations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Google and UNICEF. He is the co-founder of GetUp!, an Australian political organization with more members than all of Australia's political parties combined, and Avaaz, the world's largest online citizens' movement, now with nearly 50 million members worldwide. Heimans has been building movements since the age of 8 when, as a child activist in his native Australia, he ran media campaigns and lobbied leaders on issues like children's rights and nuclear non-proliferation. He is a recipient of the Ford Foundation's 75th anniversary Visionary Award for his work as a movement pioneer and he chaired the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on Civic Participation. Jim Bildner

Jim works with the team to expand and manage the portfolio & pipeline, build the donor and talent base, and develop thought leadership for the foundation. He currently sits on the board of DRK grantees JUST Capital, Pérez Art Museum Miami, The Africa Center, and Uptrust. He previously served on the boards of DRK grantees CAST, Collaborative for Fresh Produce, EducationSuperHighway, IDEO.org, Landed, OpenBiome, Open Up Resources, Service Year, SIRUM, StriveTogether, TurboVote/Democracy Works, The Earth Genome, The Empowerment Plan, The GroundTruth Project, and Worldreader. Jim is also an Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and a Senior Research Fellow at the Hauser Institute for Civil Society and the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University. At the Kennedy School, his research interests include understanding the role of private capital in solving public problems, extending the capacity of foundations to solve complex societal issues and the sustainability of public and private systems when governments disinvest in these systems. Kanini currently serves on the board of DRK grantees Baobab Circle, Brastorne Enterprises, Friendship Bench, Imagine Worldwide, Kwangu Kwako, People's Pension Trust, VIA Global Health, and Vula Mobile. Kanini Mutooni was previously MD for Toniic, the global action network for impact investors. Before this, Kanini was the Director for Investment at the USAID-funded East Africa Trade and Investment Hub, a $65M, 8 country initiative to attract investment and increase trade in the East Africa region. Kanini is a UK Chartered Accountant with a record of exceptional leadership gained in East Africa, Europe, and the United States. She is currently the immediate former Board Chair of The Global Innovation Fund, a $250M investment vehicle that has 4 of the G7 countries as permanent shareholders. She also serves as a Board member at MCE Social Capital, a US non-profit that uses a pioneering loan guarantee model for early-stage organizations in emerging economies. Kathleen Sebelius is one of America's foremost experts on national and global health issues, human services, and executive leadership. From April 2009 through June 2014, Sebelius served in President Barack Obama's Cabinet as the 21st Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, where she worked to pass and implement the Affordable Care Act. At HHS, Sebelius managed 11 operating agencies, 90,000 employees in 50 countries around the world, and a $1 trillion budget. Forbes named Sebelius one of the 100 most powerful women in the world.

Kathryn Shehade - CCO

As the Chief Communications Officer, Kathryn is responsible for driving DRK's communications strategy, developing media relationships and strengthening the broad DRK community of entrepreneurs, donors, community partners, stakeholders and thought leaders with effective content that enables greater impact. Kathryn has worked in the television industry as both a publicist and a producer for over 25 years. She most recently served as Director of Communications and Community for the NBC and Telemundo Boston stations since launching in 2016. During her time at NBC10 Boston, NECN, Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra and NBC Sports Boston, Kathryn developed critical community partnerships, nurtured key media relationships, assembled the stations' external diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) council, and led campaign initiatives such as Supporting Our Schools, Clear The Shelters, Project Innovation and Bundle Up New England that raised over $2 million in community funding. She formed and nurtured community partners with The American Red Cross, Boston Children's Hospital, King Boston, Boston Pride, and more. Kathryn also developed, created and was Executive Producer of "This is New England," NBC10 Boston's (WBTS) weekly community affairs program airing Sunday mornings, produced from inside the NBCUniversal Boston Media Center in Needham, MA. From 2011 to 2016, Kathryn worked for WFXT-TV FOX25 News - a COX Media Company, where she produced morning news segments, special projects and investigative reports for several series, including "Fox Undercover" and "New England's Unsolved." She also worked on everything from the station's "Zip Trips" to community outreach. No stranger to the market, Kathryn also held the role of station publicist for WCVB-TV 5, A Hearst station and the ABC affiliate in Boston. She began her career by forming her own boutique entertainment public relations firm, K4PR. Her clients included Fortune 500 private jet charters, Viking Kitchens, The Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, celebrity chefs, restaurants and the Beijing Olympics, to name a few. Since 2005, Kathryn has been on the Board of Governors as PR Chair for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS)- Boston/New England Chapter. Lara also served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at The Engine, a deep-tech venture capital fund launched by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), that bridges the gap between scientific discovery and commercialization by investing in early stage breakthrough technologies across climate solutions, human health, and advanced systems. During this time, Margo was Chief Technology Officer and Partner at McChrystal Group, LLC, a global advisory services firm. In 2007, Margo co-founded and led her first start-up, InstantEncore, the world's leading provider of web and mobile technology to the performing arts. Prior to joining Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation in 2016, Mary served as Controller for Myelin Repair Foundation, a collaborative medical research not-for-profit entity dedicated to accelerating the identification and development of new drug therapies for multiple sclerosis.

Matthew Denn - Managing Director

He also previously served as the Insurance Commissioner of Delaware from 2005 to 2009. As Attorney General, Matthew oversaw attorneys who represented all state agencies and boards, prosecuting all criminal and juvenile delinquency cases and enforcing consumer protection, data privacy and other statutes. He worked with the General Assembly to reform the state's criminal justice laws, including elimination of the state's "three strikes" minimum mandatory sentencing law, and to promote early intervention and prison re-entry programs. As Lieutenant Governor, Matthew helped lead reforms to the state's public education programs, including the state's efforts to educate students with disabilities. Matthew is a graduate from the University of California, Berkeley. He received his JD from Yale Law School. In addition, Matthew is an active community advocate appointed Co-Chair of Redding Consortium on Educational Equity, Vice President of Action for Delaware's Children and a member of the Governor's Advisory Committee on Exceptional Citizens.

Meg Rudy

From CFO of a nonprofit financial assistance program for low-income families to Executive Director of Topeka Habitat for Humanity and Supplier Diversity Manager of a Fortune 500 public utility, De La Isla will bring proven leadership and a deep perspective of how to bring strong solutions for government adoption and knows what it means to drive impact at scale. Nancy Huang is DRK's Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the CEO. She is a part of the leadership team that sets priorities, manages organizational culture and develops strategies for the Foundation. Her responsibilities include managing portfolio support programs and convenings, partnerships, communications, team growth, and operations. Before joining Draper Richards Kaplan, Nancy was Executive Director of Harvard Business School Community Partners of Northern California where she mobilized teams of Harvard Business School Alumni to deliver pro bono consulting to assist Bay Area nonprofits with strategic business challenges. She managed over 55 consulting projects and recruited more than 300 volunteers, doubling the number of volunteers recruited and nonprofits served each year. She also expanded the program by launching a new format for advising nonprofits and created a program for alumni to be high impact nonprofit board members. Nancy's previous experience includes corporate development, strategic planning, and finance roles in the for-profit sector at ESPN, Bank of America, and Gap Inc. Early in her career, she worked at the White House for President George H.W. Bush and as a Personal Aide to Barbara Bush. Nancy has served as a consultant to a variety of nonprofits and was on the founding board of Positive Coaching Alliance, a member of Hillsborough School District's Parent Executive Board and Site Council, and the Treasurer for Burlingame Mothers' Club. Nicco's prior experience includes founding technology companies, working on political campaigns, and a stint as Senior Vice President and Deputy Publisher in charge of digital media and products at the Los Angeles Times. He advises several startups, including Blueprint Robotics (on-demand manufacturing), Optimus Ride (autonomous vehicles), Plympton (publishing), and Cignify (data analytics). Nicco's book, "The End of Big: How The Internet Makes David The New Goliath," published in 2013 explores the consequences of living in a socially-connected society, drawing upon his years of experience as an innovator in politics and technology. The book has been translated into Japanese and Korean. Born to Foreign Service parents, Nicco spent his early years in Asia and Africa before graduating from the College of William and Mary in Virginia with a bachelor's degree in government. He then worked for several high-profile advocacy organizations where he pioneered the use of social media as a galvanizing force for fundraising. As webmaster for Governor Howard Dean's 2004 presidential bid, Nicco and the campaign team popularized the use of technology and social media that revolutionized political fundraising and reshaped American politics. Subsequently, he co-founded Echo & Co, a company that designs and builds digital experiences, products, and services to connect important causes with people who care. Most recently, Nicco was the Director of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, where he started new programs focused on understanding misinformation on social networks; sustainable models for local journalism; institutional anti-racism in media and algorithms; and platform accountability. Norbert Cichon

Rachel Macauley

Prior to joining DRK, Rachel served as Senior Program Officer with the OCP Group, a global fertilizer producer headquartered in Morocco. As an inaugural team member of the Group's North American subsidiary, Rachel led corporate engagement initiatives with a focus on U.S.-Africa partnerships for agricultural development. Rachel previously served as a portfolio manager at John Snow, Inc., a public health research and consulting firm, where she managed programs to strengthen civil service capacity and health systems across Africa. Rachel has worked as an independent consultant for organizations such as the International Growth Centre in London, UNDP, and the West African Rice Company, and has supported business development at Accordia Global Health Foundation (acquired by Africare). Originally from Liberia, Rachel is passionate about leveraging business, innovation, and investing to benefit society. Reneè Hall

Reneè Hall is a seasoned law enforcement professional with more than 20 years of experience in crime reduction, prevention, and policy change. She is the former Chief of Police for the Dallas Police Department serving from 2017 through 2020, and was the first woman ever to lead the organization. During her tenure as Police Chief, Dallas she saw a 5.7% reduction in overall crime in 2017, and a 5.97% reduction in violent crime in 2018. Reneè spearheaded 64 separate policy changes in pursuit of Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). She closed with a 97% compliance rate. In addition, she implemented quick response protocols, modified orders surrounding "use of force," initiated intelligent technology improvements and innovations, including the Starlight surveillance program and Text to 9-1-1 in the City of Dallas, and created a Real-Time Crime Center for crime analysis, and criminal intelligence units that improved data collection, coordinated analysis, and information sharing. Reneè also pushed to increase diversity in the police and Dallas police leadership positions and has touted the work of her leadership team members as well as the other officers that served in the Dallas police. Her police force represented the community more. Prior to that, Reneè was Deputy Chief of the Detroit Police Department where she directed the city's Neighborhood Policing Bureau, developed and implemented comprehensive community policing and mentor programs, forged partnerships and established trust within minority communities while also building strong relationships between officers of all ranks and community stakeholders. Under her leadership, the City of Detroit experienced a 40-year low in homicides and double-digit reductions in violent crime for three consecutive years. Her extensive knowledge of the criminal justice system and significant experience in law enforcement have hailed her as a transformational leader with viable solutions to challenges. Rob joined Village Capital in 2017 after a decade at an emerging markets consultancy, where as the managing editor and head of research for Africa he led field studies on investment issues across the continent. Previously, he lived in the Middle East, analyzing investment competitiveness across regional markets, and before that, worked on business and regulatory policy for the State of California. Rob serves on the board of directors of Capitol Area Asset Builders, a US-based economic empowerment nonprofit, and as a trustee for Social Tech Trust, a UK-based impact investor and foundation. He also served as an advisor to Issue Voter, a US-based democratic engagement nonprofit, and Asoko Insight, a UK-based datatech startup. He holds an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and a CEP from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Bordeaux, France. He received his BA in both French and Political Science from UC Berkeley.

Robert Steven Kaplan

Robert Steven Kaplan served as the President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas from 2015 until 2021. In this role he managed the 1,300 employees of the Dallas Fed and represented the Eleventh Federal Reserve District on the Federal Open Market Committee in the formulation of U.S. monetary policy. Kaplan was previously the Martin Marshall Professor of Management Practice and a Senior Associate Dean at Harvard Business School. Prior to joining Harvard, Kaplan was Vice Chairman of the Goldman Sachs Group with global responsibility for the firm's investment banking and investment management divisions. He serves as Chairman of Project A.L.S. and Co-Chairman of the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation. He is a board member of Harvard Medical School, St. Mark's School of Texas and is a member of the Advisory Council of the George W. Bush Institute. Previously he served as Chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee at Google and a trustee of the Ford Foundation. Kaplan was appointed by the Governor of Kansas as a member of the Kansas Health Policy Authority Board. Kaplan has authored three books, titled What You Really Need to Lead: The Power of Thinking and Acting Like an Owner; What You're Really Meant To Do: A Road Map for Reaching Your Unique Potential; and What to Ask the Person in the Mirror: Critical Questions for Becoming a More Effective Leader and Reaching Your Potential. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Kansas and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. He lives in Dallas, Texas.

Robin Richards Donohoe

Robin Richards Donohoe has nearly thirty years of experience in domestic and international venture capital. She is a Founder and Managing Director of the Draper International and Draper Richards Funds. The Draper International India fund was the first western Venture Fund to go into India. The Fund (1994 to 2000) gave a 15 times return to its investors. The domestic fund, Draper Richards, invested in over 75 companies over ten years with 9 IPOs and 33 acquisitions, including Hotmail and Skype. Prior to managing the Draper funds, she served for four years as Managing Director of Seaboard Management Corporation, a venture capital firm based in Atlanta, Georgia investing in media and technology companies. Ms. Donohoe has also worked in Prague, Czech Republic for a venture capital fund and in Paris for an investment bank. Robin is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina and holds a Master of Business degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She currently serves on the boards of the UCSF Board of Overseers, the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council and the SugarBowl Ski Corporation. She is the founder and Chairman of the Board of the Bluefield Project to Cure Frontotemporal Dementia.

Roshni Patel

Before joining DRK, Roshni spent two years as the Director of Operations for a design firm in Los Angeles. She has also worked in the media and legal services industries, as well as with Arts for LA, an arts advocacy non-profit.
