EDUCATION WELFARE MANAGEMENT - Key Persons

Jackie initially worked for Social Care supporting children, families and young offenders prior to becoming an Education Welfare Officer. Jackie then held a variety of management posts within the Education Welfare arena the most recent position being the Senior Education Welfare Officer for the Local Authority of Cheshire East. Having worked in Education Welfare for over 20 years, Jackie has a wealth of experience and strategic knowledge within this field. Jackie has a BA Honours Degree and a Diploma in Welfare Studies.

Pam has over 20 years experience working for Cheshire East Local Authority in a number of roles. Originally trained as a Nursery Nurse, she has experience of working in Family Centres, in Social Care on the Child Protection Team and as an Education Welfare Officer working closely with children, families and schools. Pam became a key player as a deputy Senior Education Welfare Officer within the Senior Leadership Team supporting the Senior Education Welfare Officer in managing the team and steering the service towards successful outcomes, both in re-engaging pupils in education and for the Local Authority as a whole in reducing Persistent Absence.
