ELGO ESTATE

Owned by the Taresch family, Elgo Estate has approximately 100 acres of vineyards featuring Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris/Grigio, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Our purpose built winery employs traditional winemaking methods complimented by environmental and technological assets allowing the production of superb wines. Located in Upton Hill, 125km north of Melbourne, our vineyards and winery are situated at an altitude of 530m above sea level. This area is part of the upper reaches of the beautiful Strathbogie Ranges, Victoria... We offer two distinct cool climate wine portfolios via our ‘Allira' and ‘Elgo Estate' labels. Our wines are estate grown and made from fruit sourced from our vineyards within the region, with vine plantings dating as far back as the early 1970's. Each wine is carefully nurtured to exhibit a range of flavours, aromas and textures that reflect our soil profile and cool climate location.
