Gordon Ernst

Gordon loved the elevator industry, especially the challenges around the elevator modernization project and figuring out how to fit modern elevator equipment into existing buildings. Having been in the elevator industry for almost 60 years, Gordon had the pleasure of modernizing an elevator for a second time, on a building where he actually installed the original elevator as a new installation mechanic. He loved it, but he would jokingly say that it made him feel really old. While we are filled with sorrow over the passing of our beloved husband, father and friend, we are also overflowing with gratitude for having known, collaborated with, and learned from him. Gordon's legacy will live on in our hearts and memories; in the spirit of his family and friends; and in the clients he so passionately served.
