Adam is also deeply involved in the community as a Board Member of the local YMCA, in addition to coaching youth sports.

Andy Hershey - SVP

Catherine Conner

Before joining the trust department in 2019, she worked in Deposit Operations with First Bank processing electronic & check payments, supporting consumer and commercial clients with electronic banking functions, as well as reviewing new accounts and IRAs for compliance with banking regulations. Her operational background allows her to support her team and clients by providing accurate and timely processing of transactions to meet their needs. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Shenandoah University. She resides in Frederick County, VA, with her husband and four children.

Cyndie J. Layman - SVP

She has a B.A. from Shenandoah University, and attended the Louisiana State Graduate School of Banking. She is also a graduate of the West Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management. Cyndie's involvement in the community includes organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, United Way, Lions Club, and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Darcus Breneman

Darcus brings over 35 years of banking experience in the areas of retail banking, lending and wealth management. She is a graduate of Lord Fairfax Community College and James Madison University with a Bachelors degree in Management and a minor in Economics. As a native of Frederick County, she is very involved in the community. She has been an active member of Rotary for over 25 years and serves on several committees in the Winchester Rotary. She is the past chair and current secretary for the United Way of the Northern Shenandoah Valley. Darcus serves on the board of the Community Foundation of Northern Shenandoah Valley and participates in the Non-Profit Alliance initiatives. She is also active with the Worlds of Work (WOW) committee and with the Blue Ridge Association of Realtors affiliate team.

Justin Hockman - VP

Justin is a CPA with 15 years of experience in the fields of accounting and finance. He started his career in public accounting, working for both regional and national accounting firms. Prior to joining the wealth management department in 2022, Justin worked as Senior Vice President and Controller of First Bank for the previous 8 years. In addition to his extensive experience in accounting and finance at the bank, Justin also managed the bank's investment portfolio. He currently assists clients with financial planning, trust administration, estate planning, and investment management. He graduated with a double major in Accounting and Business Administration from Shepherd University, is a graduate of the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management and is currently working on trust and estate administration courses through Cannon Financial Institute. Kathryn Weller

She currently resides in Staunton, but grew up on a family dairy farm in Vermont. Kathryn is very involved in the community including the Augusta Young Professionals Group, active in the Chamber, Augusta County Young Farmers Group, local 4-H and local FFA groups.

Laurie Moulden

Laurie has 29 years of experience in banking and trust services. She is a liaison with the systems and partnership companies set up to provide services to our trust clients, handles in-house tax forms and returns and does extensive work with outside firms in the transfer of securities to and from our clients. She attended the Lord Fairfax Community College and specializes in Trust Operations. She has successfully completed 3 years of Trust Operations through Cannon Financial Institute. Laurie is a member of White Hall U.M. Church and attends First Christian Church, where her husband is the senior pastor.

Matt Paciocco

He lives in Richmond with his two children and enjoys serving in the Worship ministry of Gayton Baptist Church as a musician and vocalist and spending time on the golf course.
