Our mission is to provide healthy food to those in need. The Greater Vancouver Food Bank is here to help you and your family... I work in a B.C. food bank. We're serving triple the number of people we used to. Maclean's sat down..... 60% of the food distributed by the GVFB goes to individuals in four locations across our catchment area: Vancouver (60%), Burnaby (24%), New Westminster (9%), and the North Shore (7%). We support an ever-growing average of 16,000+ lives a month, 25% of whom are children, and 20% are seniors.
