Andrew Bond became Vice President of Planning in April 2022. In this position, he is responsible for the Planning organization and optimizing integration of the planning business systems and processes into the overall enterprise. Prior to this position, Andrew was Vice President of Human Resources at Electric Boat. Before joining Electric Boat, Andrew was the Vice President of Human Resources at Bath Iron Works. He joined Bath in 1998, working on the concept design for the DDG 1000 ZUMWALT Class destroyer and later graduated from BIW's Engineering Development Program. Andrew holds a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Webb Institute and a master's degree in System Design and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Beth Rafferty

Beth Rafferty was named Vice President and Chief Supply Officer in June 2021. In this position, she is responsible for the material and acquisition value stream across the business, including design and engineering, construction, material conveyance, supply chain development, strategic sourcing and product life cycle. Beth began her career at Electric Boat in 1994 and has served in a range of positions including Director of Integrated Power Systems, Director of Naval Architecture and Structural Engineering and Design, and most recently as Vice President of the Columbia Program. Dave Roberts

Dave Roberts was named vice president of Real Estate and Facilities in December 2023. In this position, he is responsible for oversight of all enterprise real estate construction, management and maintenance, including new and existing facilities, production support assets, utilities and infrastructure. Dave served 30 years in the submarine force including command of USS Dallas, Naval Submarine School and Submarine Learning Center. Prior to joining Electric Boat, he gained business experience at a small LLC in Boston, and manufacturing experience as the assembly and test director at Northrop Grumman, Sunnyvale, CA. Dave earned a bachelor's degree in naval architecture from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master's degree in engineering management from George Washington University.

Emil Casciano

Emil Casciano was named Vice President of Nuclear Operations and Fleet Support in January 2021. In this position, he is responsible for oversight of all nuclear waterfront departments, including Waterfront Engineering, NRMD, Radiological Controls, the Compatibility Test Facility and the Planning Yard. Prior to this assignment, he was Vice President of Design and Engineering. Emil began his career at Electric Boat in 2013 as Program Manager for fleet support and for the UK TRIDENT Program Office. He joined Electric Boat following a distinguished 31-year career in the naval submarine force during which he served as commanding officer of USS Philadelphia and Commander of Submarine Squadron Two in Groton, with responsibility for seven Navy ships and crews, including six submarines. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College and a Master's degree in Engineering Management from the Catholic University of America.

Eric Snider

Eric Snider was named Vice President of the Columbia Program in June 2021. In this position, he is responsible for the U.S. Navy's Columbia Class Submarine Program and collaborative support provided to the UK's Dreadnaught Program. Eric joined General Dynamics Applied Physical Sciences (APS) as Chief Engineer and Senior Vice President in September 2020. Before joining APS, he served for 34 years in Naval Reactors in a series of positions, and last reported directly to Admiral Caldwell as Program Manager for the Virginia program. He has a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University.

James P. Gildart

James P. Gildart was named vice president of production special projects, health and safety in 2023. In this role, he is responsible for operational readiness of the South Yard Assembly Building and related projects to ensure a seamless startup of Columbia construction in Groton, and serves as senior advisor to the executive staff to improve final assembly and test velocity on Virginia. He is also responsible for championing health and safety across Electric Boat. Prior to this role, Gildart was vice president of Groton operations, responsible for manufacturing, construction and test activities at the shipyard. He also served as the chief nuclear officer, responsible for nuclear work and testing performed at Electric Boat Groton and the Nuclear Repair Maintenance Department at the Naval Submarine Base in Groton. Gildart joined the company in 1986 as a nuclear shift test engineer and progressed through a series of Engineering and Operations management positions. He earned a bachelor's degree in marine engineering from Maine Maritime Academy and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Union College. He is also a graduate of the company's business leader program.

Jay Atkinson

Kevin Graney - President

Kevin Graney became president of General Dynamics Electric Boat in October 2019. Graney began his shipbuilding career with General Dynamics Electric Boat in 1995, as a senior engineer, working on the high-speed turbine generator set for the Virginia-class submarine. He was then assigned as a fluid systems supervisor, working with Newport News Shipbuilding to design the reactor plant fluid systems of the next-generation aircraft carrier - the CVN 78 program. He later managed a team of Electric Boat designers and engineers in the development of fluid systems for the British Astute-class submarine program. After working on the British submarine program, he became the program manager of capital projects and metrics in the Virginia-class submarine program office. He joined NASSCO in January 2006 as director of quality assurance and was promoted to vice president of engineering in July 2007. In 2010, Graney assumed the post of vice president of Programs and in January 2013 was promoted to vice president of Operations. In November 2013, Graney was named vice president and general manager, a position he held until assuming the role of president. Graney was born in Cheektowaga, New York, in January 1964. He earned a bachelor's degree in marine engineering and nuclear science from State University of New York Maritime College in 1986. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a naval officer and served aboard submarines and as an instructor at Nuclear Power Training Unit Ballston Spa in New York. Graney currently lives in Stonington, Connecticut and is married to Cheryl Kidd Graney from Colchester, Connecticut. Together, they have a daughter, Katherine.

Larry Runkle

Larry Runkle became vice president of the Virginia Program in May 2020. In this role, he is responsible for design, construction, final assembly, test and delivery of Virginia-class submarines for the U.S. Navy. Prior to this assignment, Larry was Director of Virginia Class Submarine Construction Programs and Director of Maintenance and Modernization, where he was responsible for submarine repair work, modernization and site operations. Earlier in his career, Larry served as program manager for several highly successful Electric Boat programs. Larry joined Electric Boat in 1984 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Matt Olander

Matt Olander was named vice president of Fast Attack Engineering in January 2024. In this position, he is responsible for design, engineering and construction support of fast-attack submarine programs including Virginia, SSN(X), SSN AUKUS and Seawolf programs. Prior to this assignment, Matt was the vice president of Design and Engineering, where he was responsible for completing the Columbia and Virginia Block V designs, shaping the future of Virginia blocks and concept development for the next-generation submarine, SSN(X). Matt has over 25 years of experience at Electric Boat and has held positions of increasing responsibility. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a master's degree in mechanical engineering, and from University of Connecticut with a dual bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and material science. In 2004, Matt received the General Dynamics Technology Excellence Award.

Megan Roberts

Ray Gabriel
