GIBSON HYDRO

Gibson Hydro is proposing a small 15MW hydropower facility on the Bureau of Reclamation's Gibson Dam in Teton and Lewis and Clark Counties. The project will use existing irrigation flows, a new powerhouse and existing power lines to generate electricity. The project was licensed by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in 2012... Gibson Hydro is a truly innovative partnership between a non-profit farming organization and a hydropower developer who seek to generate a new source of clean energy on an existing federal irrigation dam.
